  1. Composers that gently challenged me to expand my horizons, like charliep did when he introduced the shoutbox chats listening to a webradio. Good old times... :D

  2. Just so you know, this hasn't been ignored. I'm going to have an answer for you in 24 hours, Elizabeth. Thanks for your patience, -AA P.S.> Clever posting a sample review of my piece, Welcome Home. I agree, it could be better, but I'm busy with other things. :)

  3. Hey guys, I'm a newbie, but this topic intrigued me I just want to say, first off, that I agree mostly with what SSC has been saying. While James H and AntiA are entitled to their opinions, as the old saying goes, they are not entitled to their own facts. It's fairly glib to say something like... ...do you see how that might be taken as ignorant, or glib? Conquest and imperialism are pretty endemic to human history, so it's not really a slight against European empires (or any other empires and dynasties which have existed in the history of mankind), it's just an iteration of the truth. European emigration to the Americas wasn't peaceful, war was had, we know all know this. I really hope your schools did a better job at instilling critical thinking skills and facts than you're showcasing on this thread, JamesH and AntiA.

  4. I would like to be considered as a reviewer for 1. Piano Music, Solo Keyboard Sample Review 1 Sample Review 2 2. Choral, Vocal 3. Concert, Marching Band Sample Review 1 Sample Review 2 I have played/studied the piano for 10 years and have most of my technical expertise in this area. I will be majoring in Choral Music Education in the fall, and have classically sung both as a soloist and a chorus member for 7 years, and have been a member of my school's concert band for just as long. I have had numberous leadership positions in my high school's music department, such as Soprano Sectional Leader for 3 years, Drum Major/Assistant Director for 2 years, Assistant Director for the choirs, and Brass section leader for 4 years. Now that the school year is done, I will have MUCH more time to devote to reviewing music. I hope you will consider me! Thank you, Elizabeth

  5. Michael: I've looked at your posts on some of the works here (especially Concert Band, which it would be nice to have a Reviewer there: I think it's a fairly neglected forum ), and I appreciate that you've been encouraging and straight-forward at the same time. If you continue this activity, you will likely be granted Reviewer status :) Just keep it up
