  1. Gosh! :o Literally the only thing that maybe I could give as constructive advice is that in measures where the woodwinds are repeating notes quickly, (like in measure 154), maybe you could make the staccato so that their repetition really stands out instead of sounding like it's held down. Or is that just a midi quirk that a real orchestra would take care of? Daniel, this is amazing! It's imaginative and not at all just a copy-paste ethnic piece. It's like a giant Aztec ritual opera :D I really love the power and loudness of it. Thanks for sharing, this is a real treat! :phones: Errrr.... also, I would "like" your piece, but the YC Network won't let me

  2. Advice? Write. Just write until you get a good one. It doesn't matter if its not the best melody ever, but it is something. Eventually you will come up with a gem. But you have to dig through the rock to get to it.

  3. Orale mano, pos esto esta bien chido :D Ejem. Ok. I'm impressed. This is gorgeous, I like it. Sorry for this too short comment, but this piece excess my knowledge. It's sounds very primitive sometimes, very mahlerian in other times. Thanks for sharing this.

  4. Thanks for listening and commenting. yeah, I think I will add some accents for those notes in woodwinds. Giant Aztec Ritual Opera ? haha, would be great to make one of those, this is just a tone poem for "normal size" orchestra, Vivaldi wrote an opera about Moctezuma but, well, is Vivaldi... Of course you loved the loudness, I love it too, I didn't really understand what Jaap said ... I don't remember if I deleted it already, but at the end of my Opus 12, I wrote in the score "falling down the hall"

  5. Arfus. First of all, stop creating duplicate threads. Secondly, don't let anyone tell you what you can and can't do. Stop asking a bunch of random internet strangers if non-composition-related things are a good idea for you. You have a voice teacher over there. Ask HIM. -Peter

  8. well I can search but mexico drown its own good artists, I can find 50 hours of Vicente Fernandez per one minute of Marquez. So you study with him, bring him to the Forum, not just for my piece but the whole community, even if he would like to post something, (not a work just to tell something) would be welcomed, look this topic,
