  1. Personally I prefer long phrases in melodies, not like those that come back to the tonic every second, is like they can not go too far from the back yard because they get lost, a few steps to the right and I come back, now a few ones to the left and I come back, now to the front and I come back again to the very same point... Come on, you can go further, walk for hours, or you think you will forget where your house is ? :P Something like: C, G, Am7, FM7,, Dm7, G7, Em7, A7,, Dm7, E7, FM7, G7,, Am9, FM7, Dm9, E7, only then C and the rest again. .... Just a thought :D

  2. Yeah. Oh, and don't get me stsrted on minimalist music... I guess I just can't get into that mindset. :P Maybe I would enjoy it better if there was a minimalisim-light, you know, just slightly less minimal. I used to find Bach (and generally barouqe music) boring until I listened to his music in well temperament and on a harpsichord. It really makes it pop. Listen to this for example. Not Bach, but you get the point:

  3. Mozart's Eine Musikalischer Spass. Especially the sublime violin cadenza in the slow 3rd movement, and the final cadence of the 4th movement. :) Also lol-worthy is the epic fail of a fugato that keeps trying so hard to assert itself, but can't get beyond a couple of bars of counterpoint. (4th mvmt) lol wut ..? Edit: Even the minuet is hilarious. Everything is so stupid with it.......stupid horn writing, bad phrases, overly pompous gestures. I love this movement. Check out where the horns end up in the wrong key.. sounds pretty bitonal for a few bars. Also notice how hugely much the trio dwarfs the minuet itself. :P
