I'm not sure I would list Schoenberg, Berg, or Webern as overrated. If anything, given that the vast majority of composers after them can trace their stylistic traits back to one of these three men (much as composers after Beethoven, Haydn, and Mozart can trace back to one of these three men) is a mark in and of itself. But go on... let the discussion continue.1 point
