  1. Hm... a lot of inconsistencies within the writing. It jumps around a lot, uses way too many crossed voices, and just doesn't follow the prescribed riffs at times (m. 55, for example). The beginning section doesn't sound so much out of place in atmosphere as it does key. G major? VII -> i progression to A minor can be awkward if you don't set up a proper V -> i cadence before that. This type of music depends a lot on buildup, in which high strings, high brass, and especially percussion do the absolute best. There was a buildup to a certain climax, which was admirable, but didn't support itself enough to be of any help to said climax. I appreciate the time you took to make this non-generic, but flow is definitely still important! Cheers!
