Thats my rain prayer. The only rain we had where I live this year last around five minutes and it wasn't enough for me to enjoy it. Also I wanted to write something for choir (and the first idea had a trill in it). I tried to write something Jewish or Catholic but I don't like their god, so I made up a rain goddess to pray to. This is my prayer for SATB+Piano, Please let me know what you think of it. *Note that I didn't edit the audio so it's basically the midi from sibelius. I won't recommend listening to it, but I upload it for those who want to.

Hi, part of my examples about several ways of modulation, I wrote this little piece using chromatic mediant modulation. opus 300? Wow!! I would add more double stops in the first one, especially because of the ninth in measure 6. If you want to have a few double stops as an effect, then they should be smaller than a sixth or so. Bigger intervals only work if you are adding another voice (aka polyphony). In the second one, change the sixteenth followed by rests to eighth notes marked as detache, or whatever accent you want. It would much easier to read that way.

I was contacted a couple weeks ago about a project in Belgium which intended to get 25 composers to each write a 2 minute piece in any style for a certain percussion setup (choice of three), and a 50 minute piece would then be strung together. This is what I came up with! It's for marimba, bongos, and temple blocks (all one player). I had a lot of fun writing for my native instrument for the first time in a few years. Unfortunately I don't have access to a marimba to test out the part on, but I air-marimba'd a lot of it to make sure it was theoretically doable. Doing the notation in Sibelius was a pain but I felt that it was worth making sure the marimba part looked intuitive.
