  1. I like the mixture of classic waltz and contrapuntal baroque... very nice! The makes the piece so modern.

The main motif used was pretty much just a reordering of the original set (0,2,7,4,2) I used inversions and transpositions of the set, and registral displacement to write the rest. I also stacked sets on top of each other in a few parts in order to create harmony. I used a superset of the original set for the B section (which was just the pentatonic scale), and subsets of the original set for a couple of measures. If you'd like I would be happy to upload the score!
  3. @YoungcNice work, imagine the final work how great will sound! Nice melodies & very possitive music !
  4. Interesting how you leave the waltz texture completely behind you in the middle section and create a more "contrapuntal" feeling (m. 53-120). You could spice up the piece by introducing dynamics; some melodic arcs really demand a more soft treatment. This could also provide the constrast @aMusicComposer mentioned without changing too much.
  5. Probably I am a bit dense, but what are we supposed to do with the numbers? Build a twelve-tone row? Pitch-class set? Create a melody out of it?
  6. Of course, but Amazon and Ebay don't send goods to Iran. I need to ask my aunt who lives in Persian Gulf countries, or my uncles who live in Europe to buy and then send to me. It takes a very long time :)) I think it wasn't that expensive, I paid about $500 for my Laud. Of course they are. I also have a deep love in "Taar" and "Sehtaar" which are Iranian folk instruments and have similar structure to guitar or Lute.
  7. It's very expressive, and your harmonies are great. At times it seems to lose its momentum, and you might want more of a contrasting section. Overall though, it's a great piece! Keep it up!
  8. Hi, @Muhammadreza and @Luis Hernández There are indeed many different types, from different countries, with many designs. Some of them are dificult to find, and ebay/ amazon etc is the only solution 🙂 They are enough expensive instuments, all the types of lute, but when you hear their sound, which is great, i think they worth their money. They do have very clean sound, -as your samples- & awesome traditional design. But there are many many many types found in diferrent cultures. They are very special instrumets! -Even if i dont know how to play 🙂 - Wish you inspiration for new musics or to play your favourite songs as well on your new Laouto ! Play Laoud & play LOUD 🙂
