  1. Well, you’re right of course. I found it amusing that you would ask pointed questions, then consider it and more often than not say ... Naa, I'm stkicking with the original. I Think your work has matured a lot since the earlier days here. I hope you don’t mind me saying that. It’s obvious that you take your craft seriously, and you should be happy that you’ve achieved an overall level of predictable quality in its artfulness and musicallity. Often times we get bogged down with minutia and lose sight of the bigger picture. Funny thing about quality thogh. It's a beast that requires more and more care and feeding over time.

  2. Thanks Hughes! That was exactly the sound I was going for,

  3. This is great. I love the groove, and the bass line is really funky. I definitely agree with the other comments that the wak wak is too overboard. But I really do like the variety in the rhythm section, which makes it very reminiscent of nintendo-y music. You did a fine job.

  4. JBegly, what a fantastic song! In my view it is an obvious candidate for the opening credits music for the next Bond movie. If I had not encountered your song on this website, I should have been trying to work out which Bond movie I haven't yet watched. Well done.

  5. As a fan of Mario music, I find this track amazing. Great vibe. Nice slides in the melodies.

  6. It sounds as a jingle. Agree with that wak wak.

  7. @Arthur1124 It's-a me! Someone that will listen-a and review your piece-a! (sounds like pizza) 9 out of 10 from me. The only problem I have is that "wak wak wak" in the background. I guess it makes sense in the mario games context, for they do things like that a lot, but for me it was a bit annoying, and could get more annoying hearing it as a loop. I'd cut out some of it. Other than that... great job-a! Definitely a mario- jumping around happily smashing stuff.

  8. It definitely sounds like Mario! I don't find the transitions "stiff" or whatever, but I'm not really a fan of the counter melody you have around 30 seconds. That's my only complaint really.
