  1. Thanks for the response! ๐Ÿ™‚ The main thing you need to look for is NotePerformer, which only works with Sibelius and Finale. The base application, like musescore, sucks. NotePerformer makes it sound great.
  2. my take on the canon
  3. I love the opening of the Minuet. You seem to provide enough interest -while at the same time respecting the roots of the traditional suite format. Very nice work. I second the comments above: I'd very much love to see more added to this. Did you base these off of the famous Bach Suite for Cello?
  4. another great observation. You are absolutely correct. It should be faster but I'm not complaining.
  5. Your musical language is intriguing, a blend of many different styles. You have a strong sense of melody and rhythm, and the harmonies seem to do exactly what you want. This piece is no exception... quite enjoyable! Are you a self-educated composer? (Also, since you're posting pieces that have the potential to be performed, it might be more beneficial if you'd post the scores, too. There are a lot of users on this forum who can provide great feedback on music notation.)
  6. I think I am scared of boring the listener by reusing material but I think that is unfounded. yes i did misspell canon but yes I am trying to blow stuff up
  7. Congratulations @jawoodruff for your second set of sententiae! These are pretty inventive and original. You are on your way to becoming a prolific composer of sententiae! It feels good to have some "competition" in the composition of sententiae! I guess that raises the bar a bit while at the same time making the form more established in the repertoire.
  8. I love the use of mallets doubling the lines. good piece!
  9. Man, your voice is awesome. You will be a heck of a composition teacher!
  10. 1 point
LOVE IT!!!! Can't wait to hear it!
  11. Love it!!! Man, quite vibrant. The ending in F seems a little out of nowhere. How about bringing the A section back in F? Now you have ABA form! My. $0.02 I must tell you, it spelled "Canon", unless you are trying to blow stuff up.
  12. This is superb. I love the whimsical nature of this. Good work!
  13. Interesting concept. I know when I was studying at CCPA in Chicago, we had a piano that was able to play microtones. I honestly never got into it -even though I know the potential for enhancing and expanding the scope of harmonies is greatly increased through the use of microtones. That said, nice work. Would love to hear it live.
  14. Hahahahahahahha. Iwish I had that type of power. just trying to create a movement ๐Ÿ™‚
  15. I'll write a trio for the ensemble. You able to get it performed if I did!?!
  16. I think this will be incredibly hard to play if divided into two people. Perhaps a two keyboard harpsichord might be useful, if each one is tuned a half-tone apart. Besides that, I donโ€™t see another way of doing it other than by an immense effort by a couple of musicians.
