  1. This would have been part of my GCSE coursework (unsure of what equivalents elsewhere would be), but given the present situation, we aren't going to have it assessed as it normally would be, so I figured that it'd be alright for me to post it here. I realise that in some places it isn't very tight formally, but it's better than previous compositions, and that's something I'm hoping to work on more in the future. I get if people don't have time to listen to the whole thing, but feedback on any of it would be appreciated. Edit - for some reason the audio and pdfs are in an odd order and I can't coerce them not to be.

  2. Hello, I'm a pianist and I compose for almost 2 year now. Recently, I wanted to compose something for orchestra in order to improve my orchestration skills. I choose to compose a waltz because it's a light genre and i wrote a set of waltzes this summer for piano so I know the form quite well. Here is the audio : Do you like it ? 4. I am new to this forum. I have worked on and off for the last 2 months or so on this sonata. You can view my score at : https://musescore.com/user/27866262/scores/6096785 Feedback is welcome 🙂 This is the first piano sonata I have composed and am satisfied with, after multiple attempts. I have written it in a classical/romantic period style. I hope you guys like it. I'm still not sure about whether to include the fugue in the third movement development. I like the fugue but it goes way too long and the development with it clocks around 11 minutes 😕. There's also meant to be way more pedal, such as in the arpeggio sections.

  6. Nice. I don't know which ruleset you're following but an outer voice leading tone not resolving up to the tonic after a V chord is a bit odd. Normally not an issue because an inner voice takes it, but there are a couple spots where this isn't the case. The voice crossing near the end gets a little hairy as well (m. 24) but it's nothing terrible. Good work, though, yes, lyrics would be a welcome addition.
