  1. I hear it, too @Left Unexplained. It's the bit right after 0:38. @Ivan1791, I don't think it's the exact song but the chord progessions are the same. Plus the midi rendering sounds an awful lot like the songs in the games. Edit: This is not a criticism. I found it interesting is all. I think your symphony sounds just lovely!

  2. Hello, Here is a sound file (computer generated) of my first piano sonata (in D-minor). I wrote most of it many years ago, but now I had some spare time to review and improve it. The piece consists of three movements, in a classical style. Unfortunately I cannot provide you with the score for the moment (there are still a number of issues), but in any case, I would be grateful if you could listen to it and provide me with your opinion. Best regards.

  3. Thats a lovely first movement. Indeed it sounds very mozartian style, which I find absolutely good. The musical ideas and diferent sections are very clear, coherent and comprehesive, so my congratulations for your first movement. Great job! Im looking forward for the following movements :)

  4. How are you so good!? 😆 Beautiful, emotional work. The melodies, such as that at 0:35 are exquisite. Impressive recording! I would say it sounds live, although the viola part is recognisably a cello. The climax at 6:25 is moving and powerfully scored, even with the small number of instruments. Well done, Theodore!

  5. Dramatic, energetic, and beautifully performed. The music is strongly similar to the style of Rachmaninoff. But that is not a negative thing; consider it to be a compliment. You are really a remarkable composer (and pianist) – congratulations. The only thing I was a bit confused about was the title of the piece. There is a lot of drama, but, perhaps apart from the beginning, I could not associate it with "Lacrimosa". But that may be just me.

  6. I couldn't find an unconvincing harmony or melody in your symphony. The only trouble I could see with getting this performed is the Horn in C. Back in the times of Mozart and Beethoven, Horn in C was very common. But nowadays, virtually all horns are made as Horns in F. I don't know if Horns in C are even made anymore or how common they are if they are still made to this day.

  7. @Tónskáld Interesting, I didn't even really notice the clash. The beginning of the piece sounds to me, like a theme Mozart might use. For your first try at writing a symphony, this is great.

  8. It's delightful and it flows quite well.

  9. Nicely done. Two things I can think of immediately. 1. Main melody might get a little too rhythmically hectic too quickly. Lots of push and pull. 2. The E-flat modulation... from the initial change to C minor, it made E-flat just sound like III (T2 in a phrase model), so the new section came off a bit awkward.
