  1. This is a repost of the Confutatis movement of a Requiem, I have been working on for quite awhile. I made some minor changes in the orchestration, mostly in the second half of the piece. The first half is written as a simple, mournful canon intending to depict those condemned to the "flames of woe" resigned to their fate as their punishment is carried out. The second half is intended to depict angels descending from heaven, represented by the tremolo strings, to comfort those who have been saved by their contrition.

  2. One of my favorite game soundtracks is from an old fantasy strategy game, Heroes of Might and Magic III (which I still play to this day). It has excellent sweeping orchestral scores. I particularly like the theme song for the "necropolis" city which uses the classic Dies Irae theme which I thought was a nice touch.

  3. It makes sense that you would hear a Italian style, that is what I'm working for. I want to move away from tonal harmony and go to Partimento approach, which was developed in Naples, Italy. You can look at the score here: Harmonic variety is something I'm striving for. Thank you for your comment.

  4. My favourite soundtrack is from vagrant story. But I like so much game music that listing it would take forever, lol.
