This is really cool, I definitely get a fantasy soundtrack vibe out of it. I could definitely see this being in a fantasy film/video game
A few thoughts I had:
From a dynamics perspective, it seems like the piece is either very soft, or very loud, without a lot of in between. Moreover, for most of the piece it seems like there are a few bars of loud, then it suddenly drops off to quiet for a few bars, only to suddenly return to very loud a few bars later. I think if you took your time building up to some of these loud sections and utilized the mp-mf range a little more it would make the loud sections more satisfying. As it stands, I think about 60%+ of the piece is marked forte or above, which gets tiring after a while.
I think you could be a little more daring with your orchestration, especially in the louder sections. Right now it's either strings or loud brass with the melody for most of the time.
I think the lower voices are underutilized from a melodic perspective, for most of the piece they are playing half notes/whole notes, maybe give them the melody from time to time?
Thanks for sharing!
