  1. The Elegy in F minor was written in 2020. It is my second duet, since my Fantasy in G minor for violin and piano, Op. 4. The piece is about 14 minutes long, and contains 2 themes. This performance is a remote recording, and the cellist playing is JonathanCello from Fiverr, who recorded a few of my previous chamber works. https://www.fiverr.com/jonathancello/do-session-cellist-for-your-musical-project?context_referrer=user_page&ref_ctx_id=d3f44413-d69e-4a0f-8b73-8ace49eedd1c&pckg_id=1&pos=1 As always, I hope you all enjoy 🙂
  2. These two piano pieces were created by me back in 2014. They are some of the first pieces that have a very simple harmony, yet sound quite natural and competent. Especially in the re-recorded version, which is presented in this video.

Hey, how is everyone doing? Long time since I posted something here. (Also damn, this is my 200th post on this forum!) This time I bring you the result of a pretty interesting art trade I did where I had to compose a piece in a medieval style. Here you have the link: You have a commentary of the piece in the description of the video, and if you have any doubts just leave a comment here. I would appreciate any feedback, I hope you will like it or find it interesting. 🙂 Shares are appreciated too! If you want the final score here you have the link to my upload to Musescore: https://musescore.com/user/31566834/scores/6866952
  4. A short piece taking a very old progression.

Nice piece - old French. It certainly had a mediaeval sound (Lydian in parts - but I'm not well up in modes so correct me if I'm wrong). Progresses along well and you've kept within a soprano tessitura that would let the emotion through without being too assertive. My only problem was with the closing tierce. The G# seemed a little harsh. However. if that's what you want, that's all that counts. Hope you get a chance to hear it performed. Cheers.
  6. I wrote this piece using ctcsound and pygame. I really wanted to try having music and programming meet up on a low level. I succeeded in doing so in this variation of the German Christmas carol "Ihr Kinderlein kommet". Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rK36yARvQ2c&ab_channel=Selbstzweck Here is the CSound and .py that was used: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/15as2h5VezXJf7GnKX8Ho2NQ6XLX_z71-?usp=sharing
  7. This is a sweet jazzy work with a feeling of longing. It is indeed quite "pretty". I do have a question though, I notice some of the chords are full. i.e., measure 26, not being a pianist I wonder if those chords pose any difficulty for the pianist in the context of the musical line? You create a beautiful texture/mood.
  8. Very nice piece. My handicap is that from a point in the composition, I get lost with the structure (parts, etc....). Being a long piece, I think it's important to "remember" the parts and entrances. Unless you want to cause a different impression in the listener. I also thing the transition in measeures 50-58 doesn't work well. Coming from a "romantic" part, you go to a new one that sounds jazzy, but those measures don't connect the two. Perhaps including some material of the new part in the transition would work better.
  9. Not that I know of. But this very forum is a good place to submit your works for review! If you post an actual SATB piece in the choral/vocal section, I can give you some suggestions (and so can some of our other members, I'm sure)
  10. Thank you for the beautiful music! It even reminds me of Scriabin's Prelude for Orchestra "Dreams" Op. 24.
