  3. Harmonically, it's 'correct' and not a bad statement of themes. I like the idea of the violin starting on its own and then being joined by the piano. It does feel a bit like a sketch though (maybe it is?) as there's no real singable melody. The themes you have in constant quavers and semiquavers feel a bit square, you could maybe explore some syncopation to liven them up a bit. I would look to introduce a cantabile passage next to give the ear something different to latch onto. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Wow, what a question! And where to begin? (And suddenly, trying to think of an answer, my entire knowledge of the repertoire has vanished 😂) For the sake of choosing something, I'll go with recent pieces I've listened to and enjoyed. I'll come back and edit this later once I've remembered a favourite! Heard this piece on George N Gianopoulos' channel the other day: Others... I really love Bartók's Romanian Dances (the piano part is pretty boring though!) https://youtu.be/yahbGooZ8cY As I say, I'll probably come back and add a couple more, interested to see the responses!

  8. Thank you Daniel, Yes indeed, those are all VSTs. However, today's deep sampling virtual instruments from real musicians playing real instruments in the best recording studio are almost like recording the real deal. Moreover, Logic Pro (Protool, Cubase and other DAW as well) allows to add real time expressivity on the instruments, which is something you can't get from a notation software such as Finale or Sibelius. Cheers, Syrel
