  1. @PeterthePapercomPoserThanks a lot, Peter, for listening and comment. actually there is a piano sound that copying the first violins, you may have heard it like a harp because its sound is low.(the sound delay in short notes in strings led me to this, but harp is a better idea) Harp could have been good on this piece indeed, I will consider this @Henry Ng Tsz KiuThanks a lot for your comment Henry, I'm glad you like it. Actually this is what I wanted, but I agree the harp will support the atmosphere of the piece, thank you for your opinion @Left UnexplainedThanks a lot for listening and comment, I'm glad you like it

  5. Bro, just give us one more verse next time. You're so close to making magic with your music, and I love your developments with your form. But to me, personally, I felt like you had more to say. Next song you post, do me a favor and have at least two verses, the world needs to hear more of what you're offering. I love the progress so far, and your musical language is as unique as you. We should...collab...you know...once I get better at serum and mixing. I promise the bees and the farm and the crisis will happen. You're doing your part, give me a chance to do mine. I'll get there. CatBF for life.

  7. i am sure you can if you have a clear goal of what to do next! It's always hard to balance. Maybe finding your harmonic language is important too. But first just listen to different composers and compare them will definitely help, then you know what's your favourite harmonic language to use and at that time you can use them well.

  8. Omg - this is such a high quality song with soul searching lyrics that I know are inspired by your own personal life struggles. It's amazing that you were able to take all your negative emotions and experiences and create something so beautiful out of them. You've turned lead into gold as far as I'm concerned! Great job! And btw - this song is so good that it deserves its own music video!

  10. Thank you so much, Peter. This means a lot. This was actually an orchrestration of another one of my previous piece(I know, a bit of a Ravel formula going on here). I actually two options for lessons: 1. An accomplished composer back in my native country(Thailand) 2. My current College of music in Florida. Come to think of it, these people have completely different aesthetic values from mine(they are mostly new music composers). I am a little embarrassed to share the original version but i could dm it to you if interested.

  12. Hi Henry, I've listened to your first movement so far. I'm not very good at analysis; but I especially enjoyed the baroque passages, combined with a more modern musical palette. Must've taken a lot of work to produce this! Will definitely listen to the other movements when I have a moment, and have subscribed to your You Tube channel. Happy (Western) New Year! Alex

  13. Lovely melody and mood! I like it. I love the section around 1:20 when the melody moves to low strings. I actually agree with Peter. Adding harp for me will diminish the depressing sound and add some hope in it. I think an all bowed strings sound will be even better. That's so true! we just have to make sure we are just alone, not lonely though. Henry

  14. A very sad and despairing piece. Is there also a harp in this? It seems that it plays a very minor role. But it does lend the melody a certain punctuation and accent - makes it better heard than if it were played by strings alone. I've heard it said that we as composers need to isolate sometimes to get any work done on our music! LoL Thanks for sharing.
