I just finished the first movement of a new sonata. Here is the sound file and the score.
The motif (the first 7 bars) of this movement has been in my head for quite a long time, and I
could not get rid of it. It kept popping up all the time, so I had to do something with it.
There may still be some errors in the score, and I would be grateful if you could review it.
I am of course curious to find out what you think of this piece..
Best regards.
Thanks again Henry! I changed it in that way (but I omitted the key description)
I am now reviewing your excellent sonata nr 2 (the Andante). I have some minor comments which might be useful.
Best regards
I know this is last minute, but I decided to make my first Youtube video a premiere (which just means it will play as if it were live, and we can chat on the live chat feature while the video plays). I would like you all to attend if you can. The reason is because I am going to start integrating Music Jotter with Young Composers, and the two audiences are going to meet! What this means for our community is that we are going to benefit from my Youtube channel's promotions. I may even consider doing Youtube review "premieres" on selected works depending on if my Youtube channel grows in popularity.
My premiere starts on Saturday April 1, 2023 at 4:00PM EST

Click "notify me" here: Link to my very first Youtube video
Please subscribe to my channel if you want to see me do more of these premieres, especially around music reviews from the forum. I can also create more content around:

Notation tutorials using Music Jotter
What else?
See you tomorrow!
You're absolutely right and that was also my main grievance with this piece after I had done writing it. I did adjust the volume of the melody and attached an mp3. It sounds a bit better now probably. With musescore 4 it is really hard to seperate dynamics for LH and RH.
Fair enough.
I'd recommend checking out Izotope's Vinyl and Caelum Audio's Tape Cassette 2. They're free plugins and both have all sorts of filters, mechanical noise, crackles, and impulse responses. Really great for lo-fi stuff.
I use tape on just about everything, but not always with the IR engaged.
