  1. Hello dear young composers, dear old too, dear in between, neither old nor young... New piece that I have just committed and whose first I am delivering to you, Autumn twilight, for piano and singing. As usual, use of a BBC SO pro piano sample (Spitfire audio), and my voice captured by a Schoeps MK4. Manuscript photographed for visual support. The poem is still by Stuart Merrill, which therefore represents a triptych, and ends a cycle for me. (I'm already digging my head to know where my steps can lead me next...) I hope you will like it despite the somewhat past tense side of the musical language (but I know you are used to it now). Good listening and see you very soon. K.

  2. Hello Guys, I composed this brief piece of music for the sake of an article about video game music. The article can be found here: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/special-locations-music-video-games-oliv%C3%A9r-kov%C3%A1cs/?trackingId=Lch13P9ZSnyJpLbwU6G%2Fkg%3D%3D

  3. Heyo new work just dropped. I've put everything surrounding this piece into the pdf score, or you can just read it in the video description. Which btw, I've finally made my first score scrolling (there's not even scrolling its just a slide show) video! This score took me ages to polish and I'm so happy of how it looked! I know it's not the most interesting work texturally, but thematically I think it's fine. And since this work borrowed themes from somewhere else, I've decided to link the original music down below so you can check out the original music and listen to what I've borrowed, I guess. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPa8bPqQfmo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z34enKCqRGk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5vG4Be1Ci8

  4. Sorry I quote the wrong bar number. It should be b.33 when the left hand A natural is clashing with the right hand A#s.

  5. Yes, it really has those elements that make you cinematically.

  6. Hi @Alex Weidmann, I agree with Mark @MJFOBOE with the orchestration, but I also know this is your style to go for sparse orchestration/instrumentation instead of thick texture, so it's up to you to decide your style here. Indeed the woodwind is featured much less frequent in your other previous works or versions of this work. At least has some sections featuring only woodwinds will be great though, as Mark is an oboist so he cares more for the woodwind section! Thx for sharing! Henry

  7. Hi @olivercomposer, It indeed creates some archaic feeling of a forest with your use of medieval instruments and C aeolian. I love how you use the viola da gamba in the introductory theme, but it's only 8 seconds long and maybe you can extend it for a trailer version of the music! I don't think the music is in 6/4 time signature though as I feel it more like a 3/4 waltz. This one is lovely especially for its brevity and up to point quality. Thx for sharing! Henry

  8. Hey Jean! I absolutely enjoy this one in a confusing Bb minor which is less post tonal than your previous works. (even though you do not use a key signature in your manuscript) The opening falling third motive is so persistent throughout the piece, which provides an autumnal falling leaves image (both literally and harmonically) which is the reflection of the thoughts of the poet! Your singing of course is always attractive and mellow with your baritone range. Thx for sharing! Henry
