  1. Finally, a smooth panning functionality has been added in the latest MuseScore 4 patch (version 4.2.1). Even though it is not nearly as "smooth" as its MuseScore 3 counterpart (dare I say, quite a bit jittery (at least in my opinion)), it is quite a considerable improvement for me, since the video format I have ostensibly specialized in relies quite heavily on this one feature. Unfortunately, concerning the Basso Continuo part, figured bass playback is unfortunately not yet a thing in MuseScore (at least, not that I know of), so I had to resort to fleshing it out to the point where at times it might seem like a totally independent harpsichord line. Still, the additional benefits when it comes to the violin soundbanks are truly priceless, and as such, with the aforementioned deficitary deterrent out of the way, I feel I can finally move on to MuseScore 4 by default. As for the piece itself, I originally conceived it as a two-voice fugue, but eventually decided to add a harpsichord part serving as basso continuo to enrich both the timbre and the underlying harmonies of the intertwined melodic lines in the violin parts. Enjoy! YouTube video link:

  2. It's intentional, though I admit it is quite clunky, my lack of expertise on EDM and that stuff meant that I didn't get the effect I wanted

  3. I learned something new, I never heard of ADR. I try to control my environment so that I don't have to worry about it much. But since I do a lot of editing myself, this is a good technique to be aware of. Thanks!

  4. I do have a lavalier mic! Just didn't have it on hand as I wasn't at home and didn't plan on making the short...so, the method for my re-recording was I listened back to the video a few times. Then recorded myself saying the dialog with the original audio in my ears as a monitor and then my mic setup to record the new dialog. Then matched it back together in Premiere! Appreciate your feedback earlier and now! Wasn't sure I was going to pull off this ADR situation...but fairly happy with the result. Guess I could have made it full silent film with words on text cards! Haha!

  5. Much much better! Your new voiceover matches your lips well, how did you manage that haha. If you are going to do more of these types of skits, invest in a lavalier mic. Or, you can do voiceovers using a condenser mic (I use a condenser mic), but matching your voice in more complex scripts will be extremely challenging.

  6. SWEET! I'm so glad! Because I re-did all the dialog separately then matched it back up with the original recording...and I am on discord! I had no clue about these servers. But am joining now! Thanks for the shout out and the advice. Always look forward to the conversations here on the forum!

  7. Wow this version is much better than the original imo! The music fits the scene well - I think you could have brought out the dread and darkness more when you start choking - like maybe a turn to diminished or something. Are you in discord? 8. This is a pretty cool track! It sounds like you're using the E phrygian mode in the beginning. Then you also switch to locrian. The part in A major is really awesome! Is the distortion/clipping towards the end of the track intended or is there a problem with the rendering? Thanks for sharing.
