  1. I'm more into modern jazz, or fusion, so there's a lot in there influenced by other styles, classical, rock/metal and electronic( in the drums), everything i love really. That reflects in the music I guess :D The ending just fits the concept in my head and of the album, I wanted to finish big cuz the next track on the album is kinda of slow moody "Ballad". Thanks for listening and comments! Appreciated!
  2. Finally finish recording my jazz album, been on and off for years. Continue practicing the piano and if I have the time maybe compose some new music!
  3. Posted with the wrong account, I knew I had more than 5 posts!
  4. Tkx for listening and the comments!
  5. I like it, it has a nice mood to it, light at times, gets darker at some points too, it's evolution alright. Good job, nothing wrong to say about it.
  6. It's been awhile since i visited the forum, been quite busy, anyway i'm back! Here's my latest Piece. In this one i tried to do a piece without pauses or silence, which is something i end up always using a lot. A bit of of S.Reich influence there, used the pentatonic quite a bit and my beloved phrygian aswell. No score at the moment i'm afraid, i have to take sometime to do a lot of scores for my finished pieces. Anyway, hope you enjoy it, any comments are welcome as usual, here it is :) J.Guerreiro - Rumo ao Oriente.mp3
  7. Here it is. J.Guerreiro - Restos de Luz.mp3 Hope you enjoy it. Cheers \o
  8. Tkx for listening and the comments! The final two chords, well maybe they are not necessary, i just did that to be a bit different from the way i usually end my pieces eheh About the main theme, yes the chord changes are always on the beat, to me it sounds fine and i'm pretty satisfied with the way it is, but i see what you mean. Anyway, glad you like it :)
  9. Piano piece i just did while exploring the phrygian mode, it's been a while.Enjoy. J.Guerreiro - MediterrĂ¢nea.mp3
  10. Tkx for listening and the coment pianistboy \o
  11. Eheh i guess, something like that :)
  12. J.Guerreiro - Noite Deserta.mp3 Piano piece, it has a middle eastern feel in some parts, i tried to put some jazz in there too, and this is what came out. It was molded after a series of improvisations. Enjoy
  13. I actually disagree gianluca , he found his own style, and that is something every composer strives to achieve imo. (or at least should)
  14. That one is on their new album. Yeh pictures is another cool cover of them. Night in the bald mountain rocks as well.
  15. Actually a metal band has done a cover of the allegro, funny that you said it sounds like metal cuz it really does. You can download it here if you like 10-allegro-qtxmp3.mp3 just to see how it really fits in the metal genre. Anyway, Shostakovich is one, if not my favorite composer, just love this symphony!!
