  1. Hi Wolflux, I think you have strong theme going on there. I like when you choose the brass to make it sound grand. I think your piece has some good orchestral elements. You take the theme, and let different instruments have its turn, and you put in a second melody here and there for achieving some variety. You take the theme and build upon it, vary it throughout the suite, so it still sounds like the original melody. I think it works very well. The opening sounds very beautiful. It touches my heart. Seriously.
  2. Very solid piece JudasF! You make it sound very full. It contains a lot of variety, so it doesn¨t become boring. I particuarly like your use of the ripping horns. You have some percussion that hits at 2:07 and 2:09, I cant hear what it is. I dont know if you intended for it to sound a bit dry, but I personally think it would sound great if had a more clashing sound with a bit more reverb. I like your use of the clustered string in the end. It creates tension, that makes you want to hear more when the piece is finished. Can I suggest that you take the theme up a notch more at 3:10? You play the theme at around 2:50 and from there you build up tension, with the clustered strings, when you then play the theme again at 3:10 it is a bit higher in pitch than 2:50, but I thnk it can take being played higher, without it getting to much. I think it could add even more energy, to your ending. Great Demo :phones:
  3. Hi there :-)This is a Battle theme I created some time ago.It is actually my first composition, which I created a little longer than a year ago. And it has remained untouched ever since.I could take for a spin in the sequencer, and improve (I think), but right now I just feel like sharing it :-)http://soundcloud.com/zenathd/battle-at-enroth Battle at Enroth
  4. Hi John, Thankyou for listening and taking the time to make a comment on it. It is always nice, when other peple want to review the music, that one makes. When I sit at home and compose, I think everything sounds great. This may however not be the case, when looking through the objective glasses. But while you sit there and try to express your idea it sounds great in your head. I think almost every composer feels this way about his music, because why would someone compose anything that they don't like themselves to listen too? I think a composer will, most of the time, be a bit sensetive about other people judging it. It is however one of the only ways to know, that you are improving and getting better. You have to accept that you do not know every tool of the trade. And that you can learn alot from others. Especially from constructive criticism, that you yourself just provided. It always takes some effort, to do a review thats constructive. I will take what what you said into consideration, and listen closely to the music, where you suggest me to make some changes. And of course, I cannot rule out the possibility that this piece will show up again. Improved and also maybe, with a key change. ;) But before that, I will look forward to be submitting some of my other music.
  5. Very rich and full sounding mix, I like the way you let that woowind instrument take a turn at the theme at 0:41. Is it an English horn? The composition sounds to my ears, filled with joy and with a touch of sweetnes. Solid piece you composed there. :phones:
  6. I try to create a contrast by using a happy theme in the beginning, but breaking it down to a more sad and dramatic one. A broken dream
  7. I believe you, when you say that it's from your heart. Very sweet and tender, but at the same time also melancholic. +1 For very nice contrast with the piano at 1:00 But I think it's a shame that you want to keep it that short. You only give a small glimpse of what lies in your heart here, and it sounds to me, like there is a lot more where that came from.
