  1. Fixed! I don't know why I chose the hand written font, really. I guess I'm just tired of always using the same old font in Sibelius. Any comments on the piece?
  2. Thanks for the tip! It does not sound like a bad idea to introduce the ideas more slowly, I'm already working on another version where I try to do just that. I'm not shure if I understood you right, do you think there is to much going on at once, or just "to much" going on in the piece as a whole?
  3. The ending was actually written that way on purpose. I wanted to write something a bit unexpected, something that you normally would hear in music from the classical period or in romantic music. The whole piece started out as kind of a experiment where I wanted to combine those styles with a "modern" tonality, but I'm not shure if that is what I ended up with. That is also why I use a theme by R. Strauss in the mid section. I see what you mean, I also find the ending a little out of place, but I'm not shure if I want to change it or not. Any suggestions? About making a pdf of the score, I dont have any programs to do that with, and I don't have the administration rights needed to download one, since the computer I wrote the score on is locked to my school. I'll talk to my teacher and ask if he can help me!
  4. Any other opinions on this piece? Iwould really like some feeback, since his is the first time I write a piece in this style.
  5. Any comments? I would rellay like to hear your opinion, I bet you've got a lot of advice to give me. This kind of music and writing is very new to me, so please give some feedback!
  6. This is a octet for flute, oboe, Bb trumpet, Bb clarinet, bassoon, tenor trombone, bass trombone and tuba. It's the first time I've written anything for an ansamble like this, and also the first time i write in this style. Please give feedback and advices! Confusione - octet for wind
  7. Thanks for your comment! I'll try to find another solution at bar 22. I was trying to build up a climax from bar 25, but I see what you mean when you say it appear to fast. I could try to make the development longer and smoother, I'm not so sure if I want to change what I've already written, maybe exept from bar 33. I guess I could make another version where I make the piano part a bit mor gentle, but first I will try to make a longer development.
  8. Thank you! In the two first bars I use the main row in the first flute, while the second flute create harmonies. From the accents in bar 2 the first flute is playing the a inversion of the second cell. The second flute is playing the second and third cell in bar 13 and 14. In bar 16, you find a iversion of the eight first notes from the main row, while the second flute plays the main row in its original form. I use the two first cells in the first flute in bar 18. Both flutes play the main row in bar 20-26, but I remove every second note. The same is done in bar 27, but the first flute play a half note lower.
  9. I have a score, but I'm unable to convert it to a pdf-file because I don't have the administration rights to this computer. I can try to upload the sibelius file, but I'm afraid you won't be able to open it. Anyway, thanks for the nice words! Any suggestion on what I could have done better?
  10. I wrote this over a couple of nights when I was kept awake by my insomnia. It's an short elegy for piano and violin. Please note that a couple of notes disappeared when I exported the file. I was not able to fix the problem. Abisso - piano and violin
  11. Beautiful piece. I really like how you use elements from the original piece and mix them with your own ideas and melodies. Do you have a score? And which program did you write this in?
  12. This is my first twelve-note composition. It is written for two flutes. Caro Morticina - flute duet
