  1. I really do wish I had a printed copy of the manual, but I do not. It's a pain to open up the pdf every time...
  2. I'm just getting used to using Cubase, and if possible I would love to learn to compose straight on Cubase. Getting started has been difficult for me, though. Any resources you would suggest?
  3. Hello, I wanted to take what I have written in Finale and import it into Cubase in order to make it sound realistic. For, say, a concert band piece, would I simply save the file as MIDI and then open it up in Cubase? or would I have to save each instrument separately? I tried fiddling around with it a bit but I couldn't get anything to work... If anyone has any other tips on making that transition from Finale to realistic sounding instruments, I would love them! Thanks!
  4. Thank you so much! That was quite a lot of helpful information. I've always had a problem with that kind of pacing, and wanting to learn so much in so little time. But looking back, I know Finale like the back of my hand and it's taken me 3 years of constant use of the software to get to this point. And I still have much to learn. I guess it will be the same with Cubase, and I knew that going it, but I also have a few deadlines, such as scoring a friend's short film by early June.
  5. Hi all, I'm a person who is more of a traditional composer than a music producer, and I want to use a sequencer to either write music or import what I write in Finale as MIDI for more or less these purposes: 1. Make my music sound a lot more realistic than they ever could with Finale playback. 2. (Not as important) Fit my music to film, if possible. I've tried to use Cubase, and after a few days of constant searching and digging through the internet for resources, I haven't had any luck in finding any useful information to help me learn the software for my uses. My question is, am I on the right track with Cubase? If so, are there any great resources to help me start composing on the software? Or is there a software better suited for my purposes?
