  • Biography
    Zachary J. Moore is a composer and arranger currently studying Music Education at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. In 2010 he sent in his first composition to the Wisconsin State Music Association’s young composer contest, earning third place.
    Since 2011, Moore has been enrolled at UW-Eau Claire in the; Chamber Choir, Concert Choir and The Singing Statesmen. In addition, he works as the choral assistant to the six choral ensembles on campus.
    In his free time, Moore participates in various organizations and chapters on campus including; The American Choral Director Association, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and the National Collegiate American for Music Education.
    Moore looks forward to what the future has to offer him and gives thanks to God for the many blessing he has been given.

    Well, I just had a composition sent in to a publisher by my professor who wants my piece in his Colla Voce series :) FIRST COMPOSITION PUBLISHED!!! I am sooo excited!

    WOOH! I am being paid by a high school for my newest SSAA composition and on sound cloud it has been listened to in multiple countries around the world/received comments through fb about it. :) I am soo excited to be moving people around the world. It makes planet earth seem like a small place...

    Is there anyone out there that can tell me how LA strigns works? How do you use it? Do the sounds get added to my finale midi library? or do I compose right onto LA Strings? or do I still compose onto Finale and then mix it in LA Strings?

      I guess you can load it as VST but Finale is not a software suitable for using these libraries, which require a very complex way to route the sound (in order to get the realistic effect) programs like Cubase, Sonar, Reason maybe FL Studio are designed for loading these libraries, and then is a true meticulous process of adjusting things like Equalizers, Reverb and other effects might be needed.

    So last thursday was a pretty good last composition final if I do say so myself... The teacher only commented on my composition by saying, "and this is why we kept Zach till the end, to keep all of you here." After that a girl came up to me and told me my song (Te Deum) "brought tears to her eyes." I hope I get into the composition studio...       made someone feel something will allow me to sleep with a smile at night. I am happy that I accomplished the one goal I always have when composing, and that is to give those listening and or singing a musical moment. Beauty is in simplicity, tension and release. If you feel it within your soul and your spirit wants to sour then you have created something special...

      It's moments like those that make it worthy to keep on. I'd feel sorry if my work was deemed as technically perfect but all the same getting nothing more than indifference from performers and audiences. :)
