Hey guys, yeah I was just getting some ideas. When approaching this piece, do you just listen to the chord changes by ear, or technical passages?

Hey guys, I have a thought has been lingering for ages and haven't been solved. The parody from dudley moore was never transcribed. If anyone can help me transcribe this piece using finale software it will be cool. Just never seen it nicely written on a piece of paper.

LOL nice joke right? The "Original copy" was posted in my band classrom in 8th grade looking it was like 30 years old ripped a bit, with many creases... and non-repertoire students would be stunned and say "how do you play that?", I chuckled and replied "Oh its a university piece for advanced students", some classmates asked "Reeeeally?, it looks impossible to play". I was annoyed at their weak sarcasm. Anyways... There was also something similar to that but with a different title and harder notations such as 4 staves, and non-musical notation and reversed beams, etc... you name it. Funny Stuff. Great memories in high scool.

I can't believe somebody actually took the time to transcribe this cat. Congrats to you!!! I'll try to put a new edited one until bar 80, then maybe other people can help in this cool project. I have cleaned up this score a bit, I think the cb was a mistake part of the c in the Ab 1st inversion.. btw, nice Finale Skills. How on Earth did you manage to flip the stems on bars 3,4, and(group whole notes on 5). Also how did you put the bass clef in the middle of the bar? And how did the notes in bar 4 move to the bass? Yes, in fact I do. Dudley Moore was part of "Beyond the Fringe"- a British comedy stage revue in the 1950s. I love them for their hilarious works. They practically made fun of everything... take a look at this: I'll try and find more if you like, but I think these are the only two videos of Beyond the Fringe existing on YouTube. However in 2002 Dudley Moore tragically died to PSP (NOT THE GAME SYSTEM)- progressive supranuclear palsy.

I've tried transcribing this famous Beethoven Parody of the Theme "Colonel Bogey", but only succeeded in the first 15 bars. The key is in c-minor but its extremely difficult of what seems only a simple arrangement. Here is the link to even watch this video of Dudley Moore playing on the piano, for vague placements of his fingers. Can anyone help me? I want an accurate transcribed version of this, but no-one has the time or interest to do so. I've also tried using programs to do it but even my ear is better than ANY wav-midi converter. Thanks. Hello Daniel. In case something doesn't get discussed in your lesson with me, I'll dump some random stuff here for you to download and discuss. Here is something I just played on the piano off the top of my head. I tried to make it as simple as possible using the circle chord progression. Very Very dissonant. It should be part of an uneasy background sound for a game in a tense situation. I suggest you to modify some parts to release the tension by using tonal harmony. Keep composing, that is how you will get better.
