It's dissonant, but I found it accessible. It makes sense to my ears, even though my intellect might not be able to take it apart.
The main theme was catchy, I could walk home whistling it. I enjoyed the buildup to about 0:30, very expansive sounding. Then the variation with the trills seemed to inject some lightness. The end of the first section sounded incomplete, which I think was the intention because it flowed well into the next section. I could see that working without any break between the two.
Second movement has a drearyness to it, more ominous... The eerieness that seemed under the surface in the first movement comes out in this one. Again the end came suddenly, urging into the last part.
The buildup for the last section felt like it could have climbed higher, but that could just be that it's midi. Solid ending.
Overall impression, the piece had strong unity and the overall structure worked well - each section flowed into the next. I got some busy urban imagery.
I hardly know much modern music, but I liked this, found it accessible. Having short contrasting sections that fit so well together make it easier for my non-modern ears to listen to.
Thanks for sharing Javileru, I hope my impressions were useful!
