  1. YACHAR: Thanks for listening! Yeah, perhaps it is more of a straight rock song. I have a hard time defining the genre exactly... We're still a pretty new band, so our sound can only mature! : ) J.T. Hanrahan: Thanks the compliment! The chorus could, perhaps use some more variation. I can sing in some other ranges as well... if your interested in hearing our whole ep, you can here: Music page of Waiting - MP3 music page on SoundClick
  2. Hey Everyone, This a new prog rock song that my band wrote (and I sang.) I'd love to hear what you think! SoundClick artist: Waiting - page with MP3 music downloads Enjoy! Jared
  3. Thank you so much Wendell!
  4. ANDREW: Thanks so much man! I'm up to about 50 minutes of score on this project and I'm really close to completion, so hopefully I'll be getting much more up soon! : ) NORBY: So true. I think Williams will live on in young film composers for generations to come! His legacy is truly a great one. KEVIN: Thanks bro.
  5. Thanks Norby! I'm so glad you liked the piece. I'll definitely keep composing and get the finished product up for listening soon. Rock on, Jared
  6. Heckelphone: Thanks a lot! I appreciate that you took the time to listen to my piece. I'll definitely post more soon! Whateverfin: Thanks for listening man. I'm glad you can put dinosaurs to the music! This documentary has been a great experience so far and I'm looking forward to finishing it. It's by far the largest score I've ever worked on. Thanks again guys! God bless, Jared
  7. This is a preview for one of my most recent cues. It's from a documentary I'm working on about dinosaurs. The cue will eventually run about 8 minutes, but this is a preview I'm sharing with the public. SoundClick artist: JK Music - page with MP3 music downloads Thanks and Enjoy, Jared
  8. MATT: Yeah, I guess it might not be totally metal. I said "alternative metal" because it's sort of a hard rock subset of metal with other elements mixed in. Thanks for the feedback! DARK DRAGON: Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the song... I regret advertising it as 'metal.' It definitely is part alternative metal, but is probably more on the melodic hard rock side of things. Thanks for the compliment on the vocals! I'm actually very new to vocal work and quite insecure, so your comment was very needed. : ) PARLE: Thanks for listening! Glad it wasn't too bad for you. : ) I know a lot of people have a problem with music inspired by "the good Lord." If it helps, try to think of it as music inspired by passion, love and poetic inspiration from the One whom we serve. I like to think that at the core of all worthwhile music is a musician writing about what inspires them or what they believe in... Whether it's "The Beatles," "Bach" or "Slipknot" it's all inspired by something. (Or in our case, Someone.) Anyways, thanks for listening to our music! Thanks again all, ~Jared
  9. Well, we just sing about what we believe in... In that sense, we are just a plain metal band. You liked the music though, correct? Thanks for commenting! Jared
  10. Here's a song my band wrote (I'm lead vocals.) It's largely alt. metal with a nu-metal/metalcore twist. eFusions of an Inspired Musician: Thirst of The Earthling Let me know what you think!
  11. Very subtle, very beautiful. It often reminded me of Clint Mansell and Alexandre Desplat. I'm actually quite speechless considering how new you are to this stuff! When the percussion comes in, it has quite and awesome "Heil/Klimek" feel to it (e.g. "One Hour Photo.") Beautiful, in fact GORGEOUS. I really loved this piece!
  12. Thanks Duncan11! You're too kind. Thankfully, my director does dig the theme, so I'm really psyched about it. It's so much fun collaborating with creative people (like my director.) Thomas Newman is one of my chief inspirations... To have elements of my piece compared with him is such a great compliment! I noticed you just posted a couple of threads. I'll be sure to stop by and listen to your stuff! Thanks again man, the comment really means a lot. ~Jared
  13. Rolifer: Thanks for taking the time to comment! I'm glad you enjoyed the production values of the piece. The J: Thanks for the compliments! My piano sound is basically a REALLY loud sample played VERY softly (the tone quality was more interesting that way)... There is also quite a bit of "cathedral" style reverb on it. Once again, thanks to both of you for taking the time to comment!
  14. Here's the film's website if you want to check that out as well! (It's currently pre-production.) This will be my fourth project with "Blue Light Pictures." Art's Dream - The official site Jared Kraft
  15. "New World" is beautiful! Wonderful job. I like your other stuff very much as well (but New World is my favorite.)
