Thanks a lot :) - I'm not really gone from the site, but just taking a (hopefully short) compositional vacation.

  2. HI I have a little question. May you introduce me a site for all composing competitions around the world? thanks
  3. i got it thanks
  4. Hi How do you do? These days I am crazy to write strings for orchestra. I did some little parts but it is not Sufficient and enough. I need to know the foundations about it how to arrange and how many of any instruments should be in the music score? For example how many violins and how many violas &….? I need to know about arrangements. Would you introduce me some resources or books? It will be appreciated if you could have some guidance for me. I am apologies for my English mistakes. I am not English nativeBest wishes Touradj
  5. Exactly I am composing a song as a workshop needs a short rhythmic melody that keep a rhythm pattern along the song. ok? And I want to know about it more. I think ostinato is a good explanation. Why the riff is not my aim ? Because riff is repeatable melody that the song is known by . Something like “smoke on the water” . But I think ostinato is a repeatable motif that only helps to rhythm. One of great characteristics of ostinato may be variety along the song. You can make many variety of a short melody and apply it to your song. Sorry I am not English native so I have many mistakes in my writing and speaking. I am trying to tell what I am thinking. If I am not in a right way please tell me. Thanks for your consideration
  6. my exmples was in pop music because i didnt know what the name is in classic. Ravel's Boléro. is a good exmple look at wiki here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ostinato thanks
  7. ostinato is what i was looking for. thanks
  8. thanks for ur time . my friend AlbertPensive i knew what he said in that movie on u tube. my own style is the same but when u are going to make classic song i think you should write the note some times handy some times by software. when i think about the question i get my style thanks for ur attention. have nice time my friends. best wishes
  9. Hi I need to know if you have any suggestion for very popular and non classic choral repertoire.something in the memory of people .for example pink panther best wishes Touradj
  10. hi It would be appreciated if u could have a Consultation. The question is the sequence of making an orchestral song with many instruments. For example I am working on my own song it has strings, contrabass, choirs and many instrument else. Ok? But now I am in Deadlock why? Because I am working in Sibelius and I want to add some ambient sounds need instruments like Chime and a very big cymbal. Here it has not. Now my result is Sibelius is not for all works I should write the parts only. I should not expect that I can make all of works by this software. But when u have an idea you should make it so quick else may be disappear and lost your ideas. So how do u work? How do u start. And how do u finish the song. Sorry for my English language problems. I am not native. Thanks Touradj
  11. Hi I have a question and I need to know the answer . it will be appreciated if you could tell me about. In some song specially classics. We have violins play together and they repeat and repeat a short melody till end of song. What is the name of technique or what is this short melody name. In rock band we have something like riffs. “Smoke on the water” is one of best example I need to know about it in classic songs.thanks for your considerations. Best regards Touradj
