  1. Wow. I am in the wrong place.
  2. Why?
  3. I'm guessing that there is a limit of one submission per participant, right?
  4. These dudes are amazing. That's all I have to say..... :happytears:
  5. I'm looking for orchestral stuff. No need for beat-box synthesizers or electric drum sets.
  6. Thanks for the help.
  7. Hey YC, I've been looking into software a little, but I haven't gotten much to work with. I recently bought a M-audio MIDI keyboard, and the only thing I've been able to do with it is plug in some notes in the Finale and Sibelius free trials. However, a lot of ya'll say that writing by hand is much more beneficial so I think I'm going to start doing that again. But I would also like to invest in some VST's and programs that will allow me to record what I write. The only program I have really heard of is Cakewalk, but I haven't been able to find out about it much. So, if ya'll could kind of give me a list of what I should get I would really appreciate it. WHAT I HAVE: A PC A M-Audio MIDI Keyboard Under $10,000,000 :P WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO DO: Be able to record orchestral pieces that I compose on that keyboard with as much quality for the lowest price. What VST packs do I buy? What programs do I use? Just a complete list to be able to do as I described for the best price. Thanks, Chop :w00t:
  8. Well, I guess that leaves me time to work on it more......... Keep counting me in. :shiftyninja:
  9. Too bad, everybody seems to be dropping out.
  10. Search engine "Orchestration Techniques" I first found this: http://wiki.youngcomposers.com/Orchestration:_Techniques_of_Strings_-_Part_I And I really learned a lot from it. I searched the website a little more, clicked Home, and found myself here. By the way, is someone going to complete the orchestration techniques for all the instruments? I would really like to have that detail of orchestration for brass, woodwinds, etc.
  11. Thanks. :innocent:
  12. Yes, I was wondering that as well. Even though I've already written the entire arrangement.... :veryunsure:
  13. Eh, why not. It's one of my favorite pieces.... Chop :w00t:
  14. Just posted my newest arrangement last night, hope ya'll like it.
