  1. One takes forever to upload a work for the first time - and there comes this damn newcomer flooding the uploads section and then leaving!

the management should implement "upload credits"

Go comment on your own piece so you pop back up again. I won't tell. (Any moderators reading this? Close your eyes and go take a dose of NyQuil so you can forget what you just saw.)

Oh yes...I know exactly how you feel. My own solution, as I've suggested elsewhere, is to have a "more recent files" link at the bottom of the section, as with the status updates.

  2. Alright, let me take the dropout's place: http://www.youngcomposers.com/music/4898/campaign-speech-for-tuba-and-teleprompter/
  3. Since bad composers with pompous egos get so much attention here, I'm very likely to upload some of my worst material very soon.

Why don't you try to post something good?

So....you're so desperate for attention, you're willing to write bad pieces of music? Sad.

This is troll-like comment. If you intend to be serious composer, you better don't follow such example, but really post your very best.

  5. ^^sore drop-out. I like Sojar Voglar's proposal. I don't know how does a work get into the "Major Works" file, but if there are different criteria, we could as well just have another file for "YC Members' Choices".
  6. ^^ Sore loser. Congratulations to the winners, all of which I deem as deserving their awards. BTW, next year there should be a category for "most embittered member".
  7. I have now voted after a listening marathon.
  8. A couple more nitpicks... Sojar Voglar still appears twice in the "Old Timers" category. While listening to the nominated pieces (which is why I haven't voted yet), I noticed that JohnBucket's Sonata in E minor was uploaded in August 2011. Is it still eligible for this year's awards? Please clarify. Thanks.
  9. Let's hope they're posted before the Mayan Apocalypse.
  10. More than a week later...
  11. From what I've seen, that might be asking too much from some members. Worst thing - they don't even manage to be funny.
  12. Since I received no answer, I decided to send nominations as well. You're free to throw them away at once. Bear in mind that, since I am not really acquainted with almost anyone on this site, I left many of the member categories without nominee.
  13. Dear Mr. God (the Panda one, not the other), I joined YC just last August, and I seldomly take part on thread discussions, but have listened to a whole lot of pieces (even commenting on a few of them). Am I allowed to nominate works anyways? Thanks!
  14. My guess is that it might be annoying to play for too long - but it's possible that a different percussionist could find no problem about it.
