  1. Thanks for reviewing, Charlie, Andrew, Peter! Peter: My score now has my name. It would be strange for a composer not to sign their works (unless using a pseudononym). Andrew: It's nice to hear a different spin on what the song means. The song was meant to convey some madness but I didn't think to that picture before. Charlie: I've finally found out how to use invisible measures (my notation program *really* isn't obvious). And I found a way to nudge over the accidentals; it was painful but worth it (had to open up an object inspector window for each acciental/regret making so many accidentals). Looks like though some note spacing cannot be helped unless I change programs. I like the way the score looks much better. 2. Reminds me of the type of beautiful, airy Romantic music you hear in final fantasy. This also sounds fuller than the sounds you hear from FL (wihout additional plug-ins.) It sounds good, and strikes me as an intro, or intercession. Is this the lead into another stage/level?
  3. Okay, I've just gotten throught listening to the first string quartet, very post-modern sounding. It reminds me of a sountrack to one of those horror/scary movies, but not the 'B' rate, I mean the seriously scary ones like Saw. The style is different and haunting at the same time, but I did like it.
  4. Thanks charliep123! I played around with the settings and was able to get the notes more evenly spaced. It indeed does look better. Shrinking the spacing between staves also helped attach the barlines to the end of the second page. I've now learned how to use my notation programs better, and go into advanced options; something I think will help in the future. The updated score is available here: 4shared.com - document sharing - download (4) leitmofit_wip3.pdf Hi Romanticist, It's nice to see you also. Just came back after a long break.
  5. First thank you all for you comments! Dahniel, Myrtle: Glad you liked it. :) The demented "Doktor" is Doctor Strangelove, the doctor who fantasizes about destoying humanity with atomic bombs. It's the main character from a cold-war era movie by the same title. I was torn between Dr. Frankenstien and Dr. Strangelove, but Stangelove won due to his sinister (and seriously demented) ways. charliep123: I've posted an updated score for anyone who's interested. Also thanks for helping me clean up my score; from your advice I noticed some notation errors on the 8th rest in measures 11, and other measures also. I think it looks better, and someone would be more inclined to play it. Couldn't quite figure out though how to space the accidentals further away from the notes; but I think I can play around with OpenXML. 6. Hi charliep123. The bar line marking was a typo, but I'm glad you caught that and some other things (that I didn't notice). That's one of the things I seriously need to work on and pointing out mistakes helps. I have made some edits to my score and the updated version is here: 4shared.com - document sharing - download leitmofit_wip3.pdf
  7. Hi, This is a short piece for solo piano, I tried to have fun and meant for it to be a bit sinister and fun at the same time. Any comments are welcome. 8. Fun, catchy theme in a spazzy way; this song made me laugh. I could clearly catch the theme. My favorite part was the theme's variation around measures 25-40. Reminds me of some of the jazz pieces I hear on public radio.
  9. Why did you throw this away! :O Besides some minor quirks (may be the performance), this is a very beautiful piece; It reminds me of a meadow in its tranquility. You should definitely continue transcribing this piece. Edit: I saw your score after posting. Nice. I'll take a look....
  10. Wow, this was enjoyable in a hair-raising sort of way. Nice use of sounds and panning to create this effect.
  11. Catchy sonata, very incedental. Would have liked to hear you elaborate more on the theme, but I thought this work was well done.
  12. Awww.. Esnips seems to be quirky. I switched file sharing sites. Hopefully this link will work ;) Thx, http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=120346
  13. Thanks Morivou, I fixed the link it should work now: http://www.esnips.com/doc/0b0f6654-bfbc-484d-8c97-6cae2acd5a89/simple_song7
  14. Hello YC, It is nice to be back for a while. This is my first attempt at a piece for the organ. Below is a rondo entitled "Simple Decadence". I wrote it over a period of 2 days, starting from the main theme. Are there some things I should consider? For example, there may be a part where the performer needs to use a foot pedal. Attached is a draft score, and MP3 recording. Thanks! MP3: http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=120346 Simple_Organ_Rondo.pdf
  15. This is very beautiful. Near the beginning I though it was a bit cliched but you have developed it nicely. Especially the development after you transitioned to minor around 04:17. It makes me imagine meadows and for some reason the reunion some long lost dog returning home.
