  1. Here's something I made back in 2016 with just my iPad.. I pretty much used the on screen keyboard to layer the different instruments.. and for the forest ambience .. I sampled a random meditation track from iTunes.. lol. Anyway, it was the first electronic track I ever made that I was pretty satisfied with. I'm always down with critiques and advice.. I'm here to improve 🙂 Cheers.
  2. Wow.. that E minor Prelude.. gave me goosebumps. Thank you for the motivation I needed to get off my butt today and write ! P.S. The other two are awesome as well.. keep it up, man!

  4. Thank you, guys .. I appreciate the feedback 🙂
  5. Both is possible. The left hand piano harmony and the right hand piano melody.
  6. Hey, everyone ! It's been a few years since I've last posted on this forum.. I haven't been as productive with composing as I should've been these past few years.. needless to say, I'm still pretty new. 😛 Here's a piece I finished back in 2014 and posted here a long time ago.. So, since I'm getting back into composing (and that this is arguably my best work out of the very few I have) I wanted some fresh feedback on it.. I wanna improve as a composer.. so please, don't hold back with the critiques. 🙂 Cheers! Nic https://www.noteflight.com/scores/view/8196350de48ded3feb3b24a05e70cc59e7124e39
  7. So this is a different kind of request.. but there is a Piece that I'm in love with by the composer Ryuichi Sakamoto.. it's called "Mill Theme" or "Building The Garden". However, I've looked everywhere for sheet music or even a youtube tutorial and I can't find anything.. So, I'm looking for somebody talented who can figure out the notes and chords for this piece (even the beginning would be wonderful). I've figured out a little bit of the right hand melody.. I think at least.. it's the left hand I can't get. (Im picking back up composing.. and my note recognition by ear is at a novice level). Anyway, I appreciate it to anyone who at least tries. ^_^ Glad to be back. Cheers. The song: https://youtu.be/cM5skw0k3PA
  8. Counterpoint is something I need to grasp if I wish to grow.
  9. Just as the title says.. I'm serious about improving, and would love somebody to listen to the five pieces I have completed. I'm willing to take any kind of criticism - as long as it makes me better - I don't care. :)
  10. This gives me 1 day .. Let's go.

Yeah. He who was so resourceful in making everyone laugh; you would never have thought he could be in so much pain behind it.

  12. Could someone give me some progressions, (IV-I) for example, that would be suitable for a church service.. just chords really. I've been asked to start playing at my girlfriend's church.. but its not really my style, lol. Thanks Guys ! P.S. Btw, I do know theory, (to an extent) so don't be afraid to give me some good ideas.
  13. Wondering what the form is of most piano ballades.. I understand its a variation of Sonata form, but in what way ? what makes a solo piano instrumental, a "Ballade." When I say piano Ballades, I'm mostly referring to those of Chopin; the "original" solo piano ballades.. But also newer ballades as well. Thanks everyone !
  14. Being new to composing.. I have a few questions about genres of music.. and sub-genres. I know the obvious ones.. like what a piece from the "classical" genre sounds like, or the "romantic" genre, etc. But what exactly does "neo" mean ? Like "neo-romantic" for example. Also, what exactly makes a piece be placed in these sub-genres.. Also, what makes a piece "contemporary" .. ?
