  1. Im sorry I will not be able to finish the fugue in time. I would need another weekend and there are no more of those before the end of the month. Good luck to everyone!
  2. Thanks for the judgement! I find the info on it very useful and I will try to use it for next compositions. See you in the next competition!
  3. Here is my entry: http://www.youngcomposers.com/music/5843/sonata-white-evergreen/
  4. I would prefer to buy the books I would read, and have them phisically, so now that I've started searching for doing my compositional knowledge more wide I want to buy one book next month. Then I would read it and think of buy a new one etc. The question is which book would you buy to start with the right foot? I've been recommended to buy Theory of harmony of Arnold Schoenberg or Fundamentals of Musical Composition, by the same author. Are this good choices to start with?
  5. Hello, I would appreciate if you can say me a few words about this theme. It's for an android game, and even if it's quite finished I'm not totally satisfied with it. I'm not able to find the right sound for the instrument of the melody in the second part of the song. Maybe you have some words of wise advice? :) http://www.youngcomposers.com/music/5439/sky-knight-ost-vs-ocean-wizard/
  6. Right now I'm interested in learning as fast as I can! So I have to choose closely my next step :D. While I find it I compose to practice :)
  7. For example, I've learned basic harmony during my studies, should I go deaper on that theme or learn a little bit of counterpoint, score study and orchestration?
  8. If for example I have questions about how to get inspired or how to find the right melody, they belong here or does this forum only works for technical knowledge? I would like to become a great composer but now and then I don't know for example how to improve my compositions
  9. Hello, I've been redirected here by someone else assuring this is a great place to learn about composition. The thing is Im a little bit lost in the forum, the different parts and this big sections with music and reviews. What are the different parts made for? If I want, for example, to post a song and ask for help about it, where would that belong? Thanks!
