  1. Thanks for the comment. :) I have two more questions: - Do you think this might fit a tree top village? It's where you begin the game. I'm thinking that this piece would better serve as the setting for a more mountainous region. - And does anyone have some tips on accurately emulating guitar fret noises and the other sfx that come with live play? I can't play the guitar myself so I wouldn't know much. Thanks.
  2. I'll agree with the others that it needs more instrumentation. It's ok to leave *parts* of the synth organ in, but mix it up a bit... it got really dull after a while. The piano was great when it came in! Do more of that please. :)
  3. Here is a video game track that I whipped up tonight: Aiko's Theme I'm kind of stuck on what to do next... should I go into a bridge, let it repeat then bridge, or leave it as is to loop back to the beginning? Also, any general comments or criticism is welcome.
  4. The melody IS amazing! Nice orchestration too. I really hope you get to use this some day.
  5. Since when does EWQLSO have a piano? I must be missing it. The song itself is VERY beautiful and sweet. I don't really have much to say criticism wise. it's a nice piece.
  6. It's not that fun. :( Only fun when you get to play loud, which is truly rare. You might like it though, who knows? Course, this is coming from someone who hasn't touched timpani since 10th grade band... when ALL percussion parts inherently sucked.
  7. Sounds like the same problem I'm having... only with NI Bandstand. :ermm: I thought I solved it, but it turns out I didn't.
  8. At least you got your kicks out. Now you won't have a mental breakdown when you're 35 cause you never had a chance to be a kid. ;)
  9. YOU ARE AWESOME!! :O seriously. If I had met you in real life we'd probably be good friends. :) EDIT: I see you're also a fan of Harry-Gregson Williams.
  10. I like it, excellent use of orchestra. My favorite part was when it got forboding at the end. Keep up the good work! ;)
  11. yeah, thanks. :) I'll cut off all the reverb and stuff when exporting and just get an audio editor or something. This was made in FL5 by the way, and this is the first time it's happened. Maybe I'll just un install Sonar for the time being until I can upgrade, as long as I don't need it to run some of the plug-ins. NEWS: I just discovered that it was indeed the reverb I was applying, which was Perfect Space. Looking back, it wasn't very smart of me to record it with that on when I should be adding that afterwards.
  12. ^ yeah, cause Uemastu is so much better.
  13. Yes, that would be inappropriate, I agree. That is why, if I could choose, I'd pick to write for 3-D. Unfortunately, in the indie game industry, that usually doesn't happen because it costs a lot to make things look presentable by todays standards. Guess our only hope is to be hired by a big name. :(You said you'd fix it though, right? you didn't really say that exactly.
  14. Sorry for the double post, but this warrants a "bump". Here is an example of what happens... HERE the guitar riff should play the whole way through but it doesn't.
