  1. Thank you guys for the kind words. I too wish to continue with all the projects i've started, but it's kinda busy life lately.. I'll try to post more, and update these, if possible in the future. I really appreciate your feedback. Good one at that!
  2. Now, when i come to think of it, i better share 2 samples.. the first is really just a sample... 1 min file of something im currently working on, but abandoned for the moment. It's a theme I thought of after watching Wicker Park movie. May sound cliche but it fits (imho) the main titles. main theme harp 2.mp3 - 1.00MB This, the 2nd one, is the complete part 1 of 4-part Sea Suite (wrote it after i had some nice but weird experience underwater)...It's called "A Fly-by" . project 22a.mp3 - 2.02MB ___________ The first piece have some major sampling problems.. as the dbass didnt play correct, cuz i simply forgot to set it to sustained notes and all it's playing here is short. But still, do your feedback...especially if u've already seen the movie.
  3. Thanks for the reply. Well, I know it needs a few adjustments.. The end is really a bit odd, but that's not final yet.. I just concluded it so i can think of it easier later. As for "percussive synth or something" - i strongly tried to avoid that. It's supposed to be very quiet background music that gives nothing but sadness.. Rhythm could spoil it. Btw, you are right about American Beauty.. and actually about Thomas Newman in general. Not trying to copy - i just like the style..with some nuance of my own.. :)
  4. Here is one of the themes I am doing for an indie movie I was offered... Nothing pro but it's one of my first attempts in film scoring really... so far i've been working only with classical orchestral music (not anything pro too) but I'd really like your comments on that one. It's supposed to be a sad, tragic and melancholic theme presenting actually 2 characters - George - retarded fellow and a little girl, being molested by an adult. A scene where George is calming her down. So dont expect anything Batman-ish... Now by the rules of the forum... I'd say I used Sibelius 4 to compose all that and later I transferred it to Sonar, using EWQLSO Colossus and EWQLSO Platinum. The piece needs a few technical adjustments but that will come much later. Used source of 24bit audio samples. It didnt take much to do compose it - an hour or 2 in a matter of a few days, but the sound editting takes a lot longer. I guess I'll improve in the future. Now's the hard part - attach the audio. George Theme - eSnips, share anything Please do comment.. i need advices. EDIT: The link was by default private and wouldnt open.. I think it's now ok.
