  1. I have not used Sibelius, but I choose Finale because of the price. Finale costs less than Sibelius, and you can crossgrade from many other notation software. You even get a discount of 100$ if you trade up from the free Finale Notepad.

  3. I am sorry, but I don't know what the word "cue" means in this context, and my dictionary doesn't help me. Do you have another word for it?
  4. Thank you for the answers. I agree the piece is very short, and thats because it original was written for a scene in a movie, but it was not used. After you comments I think i will try to work more with the piece and enlarge it.
  5. Peer Gynt Suite I and II (Edvard Grieg)
  6. I have made a little sad piece of music here. What do you think about it? The piece is written for English horn, Horn in F, Violins, Cellos and Piccolo flute. The theme is played two times, first time with the horns, and second time the other instruments. To hear: melankoli.mp3 (I have used Finale 2008, and full GPO) Melankoli.pdf
  7. Nice work!
  8. I like this work. I can't give you a deep analyse of the piece, but I think I would let the guitar play the minore chord in the second repetition of the second frase. I think in meassure 11, difficult to say, since you not posted the score. I would keep the melody equal, but just use the minore chord in the second repetition. Later in the piece (at the same melodic frase), you will also need to sink the clarinet a semitone. But as said, I liked it! Some fine contrapuncts (is it counterpoint in english?), and I simply love counterpoints...
  9. Hello! I am new here in this forum, and this is my first post. I hope I do things right... This piece have I not composed (it is Sjostakovich vals nr 2 from his Jazzsuite nr 2), but I have arranged it for a little chamber orchestra. (Is it ok to post arrangements, or may I only post my own compositions?) This arrangement is meant for a little group of amateurs in a free church. I have used ca a month on the work. Any comments? vals nr 2 sjostakovich.mp3 (The sounds are Garritan GPO and JABB) Sjostakovich vals 2.MUS
