  1. haha couple hrs after I posted this I continued to mess around sib figured out how to save as a midi file but thanks
  2. So I export my score from sibelius 4.1 to sony acid music studio which exports as a wav/ audio file. but it only allows me to insert EWQLSO as a soft sythn to midi files. Is there any way to covert my score from sibelius to midi istead of audio so I can apply EWQLSO??? all help is greatly appreciated:cool:
  3. if yr looking for a good deal on EWQLSO silver I just got it for $175 at guitarcenter.com, cheaper then buying it from the host site which was $200 something.
  4. well after some research Ive decided to get acid music studio 7 and EWQLSO Silver Edition
  5. Like Sibelius 4.1 I like how Acid music studio is easy to work with as a sequencer. I starting to work with a group in college that does student films. So now I looking for a sound library that will give me close to the real thing since are budget and deadlines dont give enough time to record live. 1 I should ask would EWQLSO and GPO work with Sony ACID which runs VSTi and VST (but no automation) but no multi port vsti. If not what would a good sequencer be? 2 While I like what I hear about EWQLSO Gold and think it's a great deal I'm reluctant to go over $200 as of right now so between EWQLSO Silver and GPO which will give me closest to real Hollywood/film sound?
  6. I arrange and orchestrate music and use Sibelius alot but sometime i like to record and what not and I have Magix music studio 2004 and thinking it's time to update. Never really been happy magix so I'm thinking of trying out Sony ACID Music Studio. Has any used acid music or suggest any other type of audio/ midi recording software??? I'm shooting for something not to expensive.
  7. Well I still believe the zither is a member of the string family but I did figure out how to change the sound device to a harp sound!
  8. Im a member of Grammy U and ASCAP
  9. While I do compose a little, my goal is to arrange/orchetrate music for film, theatre, tv. I'd like to get my hands on film scores to either study or practice orchestrating film compostions. I emailed the post production/Music divisions of all the major studios like Universal, Fox, Disney, Paramont, warner Brothers to see if there was anyway to get copies of scores to study but never heard back. Anyone have any ideas???
  10. hmmm but the zither is crafted much like the string (violin) family, wood and strings. So how can I change the sound channel so it's more like a harp??? Thanks
  11. I recently composed a 3 part movement with movement featuring the zither, and just wondering why does sibelius have the zither filed under pitched percussion while it is clearly a stringed instrument, I own a zither myself, in real life sounds more like a harp. And when I covert it to mp3 file it sounds even more like a percussion/drum sound which I don't like. anyone know if this is corrected or updated in sib5 or in any of the Sibelius Sound/ Kontakt Player products you can buy?
  12. I'm using Sibelius 4.
  13. Im creating an orchestral arrangment for the song Colors of the Wind and in it there is a part where a D.S. al Coda jumps back to the Sengo. I know how to put the Sengo sign in and type in D.S. al Coda but when I do a play back it jumps right over the D.S al without jumping back to the Sengo. Anyone know what I might try and do to make it work??? greatly appreciated!
  14. I also working on going into film scoring, only Im going into more arranging then composing but wherever you graduated from they should beable to help you get started by helping you find an intership which in LA although competitive there are plenty.
  15. yes I did follow the directions on the sibelius web site. I didn't get Sib 5 because it wasn't out yet, I would have waited if I had known a new one was about to come out but saw nothing about it. Wait what is this about being able to download Sib 5 for free I when on the site and I know they have the demo but nothing about up-grading for free??!!
