  1. I just don't like how GPO makes my compositions sound. It sounds too synthesized and more muddy than the regular finale sounds. I'll try and post an mp3 later.
  2. This is yet another drum corps arrangement. So you'll hear a lot of drumline and loud hornline. I know it's just the finale sounds, please try to critique the content and not the type of sound library I'm using. I have GPO, but I choose not to use it.
  3. Wow, very nice. I really liked the sound it made when Link runs haha. Also, I really like your Hyrule Field theme. I was quite sad when you went into the water temple and the video ended. I was excited to hear what you would have done with music in there.
  4. I'm not really that serious about composing music for games. I just really like arranging music.
  5. Hey thanks! There was actually a distinct reason I did that. Well, actually two reasons. One reason, is that in a marching arrangement, I did not want the percussion break to be TOO long. Not only that, but the note that the trainer battle theme ended on was in the chord for the next note, so it fit right in. (I prefer the original finale sounds too)
  6. Thanks for all your feedback! :)
  7. Not sure if you ever solved this problem, BUT... Midi/Audio > Instrument Setup > VST Instruments > Next to the "Ambience Reverb on the bottom, click Edit > Mess with the sliders that say "Wet" and "Dry" Make the recording more dry and less wet.
  8. What I have done is taken the Pokemon game title screen theme (specifically the one from Crystal) and arranged it for Drum Corps. After that, it goes into a percussion feature where the drumline has a drum break and the mallet percussion play the trainer battle theme from Red, Blue, & Yellow. After that, it goes back into a softer slow feel of the original theme leading up to an exciting ending. Although, the cheap finale sounds are terrible. So here's another link to a GPO version. http://www.upload-mp3.com/files/19939_zqalg/Pokemon.mp3 If any of you want a pdf of the score, let me know.
  9. There really is no story behind the piece. I had a very short slow melody that I wanted to develop so I turned it into that.
  10. Hi, this is my first complete piece that I have written. It is scored for a Symphonic Band setting. I would love feedback. Sorry, the only recording I have is the extracted mp3 from finale. Please keep in mind when listening that I have never taken a music theory course. Link to Adieus Overture Adieus Overture.pdf
  11. Could somebody help me out with this? Is it okay up until the ending point? I don't know what do write next, any suggestions? Click for recording Dominant.pdf
  12. I said Thermin like 2 times...look it up, you'll see why.
  13. Theremin. /end
