  1. Thanks for your feedback and taking the time to listen to the full piece. It's much appreciated. I see what you mean with it being too catchy is certain parts. I think writing more atmospheric and less melodic music is something I definitely need to work on in the future for these types of pieces. Although as you said, I think a little touch of memorable melodies here and there will enhance guest's memories of the attractions, as well as I think give the attraction more personality in certain cases.   2. Hi, I've been working on a piece that would theoretically be used at a Visitor Attraction, playing in the background on a continuous loop. I've gone with a sort of tropical / adventure feel that you might see at many family oriented attractions. I'm assuming not many of you have delved into visitor attraction music before, as it is quite niche, so for those who don't know a typically good piece of area music is normally about 30 minutes long, will be able to take place in the background without distracting the listener from what ever it is they're doing, and create a constant atmosphere throughout the loop whilst not feeling stale. Another thing unique about area music is the listener will never listen to it from start to finish, so typically area music doesn't have a discernible beginning, middle or end. These are points I've tried to hit whilst composing this piece. Whether this comes across or not though is a different question. I appreciate this is a very long piece of music so even if you just listen to a few minutes of it or just have it on in the background whilst doing something else, any feedback is much appreciated.   3. Hi, I've made this piece for a game I'm working on and I was hoping to get some feedback on it. The level it will be featured in is based on an early 90's racing game, similar to the likes of Mario Kart and F-Zero. To achieve the retro feel I compressed to .wav to play at 11025Hz and used low-quality samples. Thanks
  4. It's from a soundfont called OmegaGMGS2 although I'm not sure where the soundfont's creator got the samples from. Also for anyone that's interested, I've made an updated version with slightly different chanting samples and the inclusion Maarten Bauer's suggestion of the anvil sounds.
  5. Thanks for the feedback. My thinking with the vocals was that it adds a more industrial vibe by having factory workers chanting but I do see where you coming from with them sounding a bit out of place. I think I might experiment with altering the reverb on them and maybe using different samples to see if I can blend them in better.
  6. Hi, I recently started work on a new composition which is more synth heavy than my other compositions and I was hoping for some feedback on it. The piece is based around a futuristic city which hasn't broken away from outdated technologies, such as fossil fuels, and as a result is terribly polluted but society has still found away to survive despite the harsh conditions.   9. Hi, I wrote these a few days and I was hoping for some feedback on them. The two pieces are themed around a small friendly town and both of them uses a similar melody and backing but are played in different instruments to give a feeling of night and day.
