  1. Thanks for the reply. I'm glad you liked it and didn't find the repetition boring.
  2. A strange blend of relaxing and ominous emotions. This piece is based on an idea that was recorded quickly after an improv session. It's sort of repetitive (and a tad long in my opinion - about 4:30). I really appreciate those who endure the whole thing! Currently debating whether or not to write out sheet music for it... Thanks for listening. Degrading
  3. changing the volumes in the finale mixer does work.... but for some reason I can make them a lot louder in kontakt player and it sounds a lot better. Still same problem. Thanks though...
  4. Hi, I've been experimenting with the GPO that came with Finale 2008 and I am getting the hang of it, but I'm still new...so stay with me: I set up all of the channels with GPO instruments and it sounds great when I play it back. I edit some of the instrument volume levels in the Kontakt Player 2 window, but when I save it as an audio file (.WAV) the volume levels are reverted back to default and don't record in the file. The file plays back with my custom volume levels fine in Finale, but when I save as audio file, it sounds like I didn't do anything to them at all! Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  5. Wow - I haven't logged in since April 16, 2008! It's been forever. Anyway - I cranked this little number out in about 2 hours and I think it sounds "foo-foo" (kind of pop-ish, something like on the Proactiv commercial with Jessica Simpson), and I'm lookin' for some feedback. Also, It's far from done... Thanks for your help. foofoo.MUS foofoo.MID foofoo.pdf
  6. This is a short piece for piano that I wrote in about three hours about a week ago. I think it kind of sounds like a movie theme in some parts. Thanks for listening.
  7. Songjun, as far as I know, all of the .nkc files are in the right place - I haven't moved or uninstalled anything. I guess I'll just contact Customer Service...
  8. Thanks for the help Euler, but when I open the Mozart_GPO.mus file, I get the same error message. "Missing requested plugin: Kontakt Player 2 in bank #1," and no sound comes out. I have tried reinstalling, but it still doesn't work.
  9. Hello, I recently installed Finale 2007 on my computer and everything was working fine and dandy until I decided to experiment with the included Finale GPO. I have followed all of the tutorials, but no matter what I try, I get no sound. When I open a file that uses Finale GPO, I get an error message that says, "Missing requested plugin: Kontakt Player 2 in bank #1." I have the KontaktPlayer2.dll file in the FinaleVST folder, but nothing appears in the VST Instruments pulldown menus in MIDI Setup. I would greatly appreciate any advice! Thanks, - J. Loreno
  10. This is a contemporary style piece for piano. The melody is lounge-like and it "leaves the listener hanging" at certain parts. The theme reminds me of a Sunday afternoon: slow drivers, hot weather, nothing to do...etc. I think that repetitive Dmaj7 chords and awkward pauses aid to the creation of this type of atmosphere. This song took me about 6 days to develop and this is the first piece I have created using Finale software. Note: Some of the chords sound strange when played through the computer. The CEF#A chords in measures 8 and 9 and similar measures sound different when played on a real piano (then again, I haven't gotten my piano tuned in a while!).
