  1. Than you. I think I got sucked in by the chord progression and wanted to develop it more and more. Would you say put some of the ending after the 1st part, followed by the middle and then come up with something after that?
  2. Lovely piece, I’m not sure about the change in piano? It got much brighter. The staccato strings were a bit jarring, if you can make them softer it would fit better with emotion you’re trying to convey. All in my humble opinion 🙏
  3. Anything deep, bassy, slightly random and swelling gets my thumbs up 👍
  4. I found that quite beautiful. And a question was going to be about what you used for the string solo parts but I see that’s already been answered. Good job.
  5. Another piece with not much in mind but trying to be free and expressive for background music. I also have new software by Spitfire which i'm obsessed with. Feedback and criticism welcome.
  6. Thank you everyone. Appreciate the feedback. Sadly I can’t upload the score as it’s written in Logic which is appalling for how it scores the music.
  7. You may need to turn your speakers/headphones up, i've been having some problems bringing my mix level up. Let me know what you think.
  8. Great piece, i really felt like I was on that train. To me the mixing sounds great, I have trouble with it too, just as you think you've got it sorted, something else seems to jump out at you that's wrong. The only thing I would suggest from this is maybe making the build ups drop slightly more, it will give it more punch when the you have the big hits. What software have you got for the strings and also for your percussion? Great job, I look forward to hearing more of your stuff.
  9. How does this work? Piano is softer with less reverb and not so wide in the mix. I am a fan of Thomas Newman, especially his 'Brookes was here' piece, I didn't however have him in mind for this piece. Appreciate the feedback.
  10. Hey pal, what software do you use for your percussion?
  11. I think i'm finished with this one although unsure about the ending. I wanted to write something a bit faster than I normally would. I don't have the score as Logic is terrible for that. Enjoy and comments welcome as per. Any feedback really is welcome, good or bad.
  12. It was ‘addictive keys’ if I remember correctly, only the demo version as well. Along with a lot of reverb and some other plug ins.
  13. I uncovered this piece from a while back. I'd started it with the intention of it being music for an advert but it grew (by accident, I got carried away) into something bigger. I'm still under the impression it's only really background music. Let me know what you think. This was the last version i put to MP3 so I'm going back through it now to 'clean it up'
  14. Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it. If you have any specific ideas for solos etc I’d love to hear them, more than happy to send a file of the piece for you to write on top of if you’re willing?
  15. I'm a bit lost with this one. It needs work i know, i'm just not sure where to take it once I've brought the main theme back in around 3:45, carry on building it up bigger? Strip it right back? Any ideas on instrumentation etc very welcome...
