  1. This sounds great. It sounds like a piece we would hear at a luxury party. Excellent counterpoint all around in this piece.
  2. I need to figure out how to reduce the crackling in Cubase without lowering the strings volume. I tried adjusting the ASIO but no luck. Update: readjusted the reverb plug-in. It needs more readjusting.
  3. Adding higher (subtle) legato strings. And an additional layer of Spitfire's Chamber Strings on top of Orchestral Tools: Berlin Strings
  4. I agree. I applied way too much gain. I can switch it back tomorrow. I have two different headphones. 1 of them is high-end (Focal Stellia) and makes the sound more spaced and "even"; even with the high gain. Then there are the regular headphones (WH-1000XM5) and I have no idea why it sounds so muddled with these. I just heard it. This is all a work in progress, thanks for the feedback! I think I made a few minor improvements but the additional gain undid almost all of it.
  5. Thanks @Henry Ng Tsz Kiu. I'll redo some of the viola and cello parts. Or at least try to.
  6. Thank you for the feedback @Thatguy v2.0 and @PeterthePapercomPoser. I was thinking of a flower collage when creating this. Notating the next segment (Correctly) is so important. Since my music theory is not up to par, I am concerned about making many mistakes.
  7. Not sure if I am overthinking. But I think the melody is slightly boring
  8. The melody sounds fascinating, melancholy, and mysterious. In some areas, it almost sounds similar to Yanni, especially around bar 51.
  9. Great job with this. What inspired you to have the oboe melody to sound so graceful?
  10. Hi Peter! Thanks for the feedback and compliment🙂. I tried adding a melody, but it needs work. I might replace the crystal bowls I added with a guitar as a melody. I don't know yet. And yes, I second-guess myself all the time. I added a melody 'cause a friend said it needed one. If I keep going with this, I would say this is 20% done - at most. So much cleaning up to do. Thanks for the advice regarding older files.
  11. I love how the harmony and melody interweave so well. Good job. Especially at the 1:01 mark. The harmony blushes at about the 1:12 - 1:30 second mark.
  12. The idea for this came to me while working on a fairy garden
  13. I like how it goes from "bright" to melancholy in a smooth transition - while maintaining a consistent tempo. My only critique: around 1:31 the notes drop and seem to struggle for a second to find their way back up.
  14. Thanks for the feedback Henry and Musical. I am directionless with this and I don't know if I should continue; been at this for some time today. I was thinking of a John Williams type of transition, but lack the musical know-how. I'll give an update hopefully in a few weeks!
  15. I think it sounds wonderful. I love the melody at the 16-second mark -catchy.
