  1. I found it really effective, creating a powerful, evocative atmosphere. I'm very interested in background music for film and slideshows, so I think this would work brilliantly for a dramatic scene in a film where the director needs strong energy and emotion. I really liked the abrupt ending with that quiet sound left hanging. It's a very realistic emotional effect, where you've just gone through a very moving experience and are left a little dazed.
  2. I would love to know what all you accomplished composers think of my little piece evoking the "gloaming" (Scottish word for twilight) at my local beach in Japan. I'm Scottish but have lived here a long time, so the mixture of the Japanese name with a Scottish word in the title was deliberate. Omae Hama in the Gloaming - link to YouTube video The first section is for piano only (see Omae Hama in the Gloaming.pdf below). The second section is a fuller version including oboe and strings (see Omae Hama in the Gloaming for piano, oboe and strings.pdf below)
  3. Olov, You were looking for a title. Unfortunately, I don't know Stockholm, but a quick look on Google Maps would suggest: "Walking beside the water in Djurgården" or some such beautiful place. In your music, I can smell the salty, sea air, but there is also a gentle feeling which evokes the lovely grass and trees of one your beautiful parks. I feel Sweden or the Swedish language deserves to be in the title because there is definitely a Scandinavian flavour in there.
