  4. Hi Zazie, so happy you enjoyed. Yes, experimental/gestural is a proper description of the piece I believe. Yes and neoclassical is a good term either. Neoclassicism is a direction I really have come to love and appreciate. Jan
  5. Hi Peter, thanks for the response! Yes, I like voice imitation, and at that time I was very much into composing waltzes, so that seems to have influenced this piece. I would agree in calling it "abstract", yes, you have a point here. Kind regards, Jan
  6. Hehe, if you had not mentioned Bach, I would have thought this piece were inspired by guys like Schumann, Mendelssohn, possibly Chopin, it has a romantic touch ... It was a nice listening. Thank you & Greetz, Jan
  7. Hi, I liked how the piece developed a nearly menacing atmosphere after an "innocent" beginning. It seems that clustering is an important factor in this piece. Greetings, Jan
  8. Hello Luis and Henry, thank you for calling the piece coherent, yes that was something I had hoped to achieve. I hope the structure is understandable. @Henry Ng Tsz Kiu No, I did not perform the piece myself (I am a solid pianist, but not on this level). The performer is a very talented european pianist. Best, Jan
  9. Hello Luis I love your subject, it is very cantabile! The whole first part works really great for me. What I don't understand is why you would want to modulate to the dominant as you have already modulated forth and back several times before? The mood change in the first divertimento is robust. Why do you return to G here? Nice piece. J.
  10. Hi, I really enjoyed the flowing melody of the piece. On the other hand I must say regarding the constructive side, it seems a little simple. You work a lot with tonic-dominant and few non-chord tones, this can get a little tedious as the piece procedes. Greetings, Jan
  11. Hi, "Piano Miniature" is a composition of mine that I wrote some years ago. George N. Gianopoulos was kind enough to publish it on his Youtube channel. I hope you like it and would be thankful for any thoughts.
  12. Hi celloman, thank you for listening, I am happy you enjoyed the piece.
  13. Very nice piece, Mike.
  14. Hi, I wrote this little nocturne a while ago and would be thankful to hear what you think about it. I have also made a youtube score video, please follow the link provided below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_v_yiDuJQMA
