  1. I originally wrote this piece for piano, and just transcribed it for string orchestra a few weeks ago. I've been working on it on and off since then. I like it because it reminds me of pirates :w00t:. I know the ending is totally lame, I'm still thinking about what to do with it. any ideas there? Memory Waltz.mus Memory Waltz.mid
  2. So, I'm gonna make it longer, develop the theme more, then post it here. I'll let you guys know what i do.
  3. haha...thanks brad If you're feeling mellow, check out equanimity.
  4. This is a piece for concert band that I wrote when I was really angry. It is a very short sort of prelude or overture...I'm not quite sure how to describe it. I would love reccomendations on what to do next with it, or any changes to be made to what's there already. Thanks, and enjoy. ps. I know the midi sounds ridiculous, but you can tell what's going on. 5. These two songs were interesting, but a little bit too chromatic. The first one (revised song 1...come on you can think of a better title than that!) got a little bit annoying in the unison measures with quarter rest, 4 sixteenths, quarter rest, 4 sixteenths, but it was interesting. I would reccommend putting a melody on top of that sooner in the song, to tie it all together.
  6. I'm not sure what that is, but i'll try...
  7. This is my first time so i hope this works! This is a piece that I have written for a string orchestra, accompanied by a flute, a horn, a trumpet, and a tuba. (solo winds, i guess) I was trying to portray the peace of the moment, as finals are approaching rapidly! To be completely honest, I only spent 30-45 minutes composing it, then maybe 15 minutes revising it a few days later. I think it turned out fairly well, although the string parts may get boring...we'll see. The midi sounds really funny, but if you can open it with finale or something it will sound better, i think.
