Hello everyone! I'd like to share one of my original compositions, Wings of Silence. This piece reflects my interest in emotional storytelling through music, particularly the relationship between melody, atmosphere, and the expressive possibilities of instrumental writing. My intention was to create a musical journey that communicates a sense of introspection, emotional depth, and quiet transcendence. I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts, especially regarding: Melodic development – Does the musical material feel expressive and coherent? Hi everyone! :) As i am in my village in southern Greece for vacations, i am away from my music studio in Athens. However i still have Musescore 4 for arranging ideas and i just finished orchestrating my composition "Calling For Inspiration". I am still doing lessons in music harmony so for my orchestration and arrangement ideas i just follow my instict and ear. Of course the final audio quality is not the same as if i would have composed the piece in my sequencer (with many proper audio libraries), but still i think that musescore does a decent job in rendering the sounds. Calling for inspiration...through the Renaissance times, music evolved to soothe the spirit and help the psyche reach the skies, outer and inner... Please i would love to hear remarks, reviews and opinions in the piece and in which ways i could improve the orchestration and arrangement! Thank you for your comment Mark. I will try the French Horn as well , i think it will fit especially the nightmare theme at around mm.33-48. There i currently use the English horn at an interval of a third above the main melody, but i am not sure that it fits well!

Hi All! :) This is my new composition, called Sweet Nightmare. It has dark and mystifying musical motifs with a surreal dimention added to them. I use many instruments of the orchestra along with female voice choirs. Hi everyone, This composition that i present here is small in duration 1:30 minutes. It is called "Spiral Into Darkness". It is based on a new composition that i wrote firstly in the piano. It has many dark themes and melodies, which with the usage of choirs sound ethereal and otherworldy. There is also usage of percussion in an avant-garde sense. You can imagine a dark passage with a spiral staircase leading to lower and lower parts, which reflect the inner fields of the listener. Hello All! 😀 In this post i present my composition called "Land Of Gods". It is not finished yet from an orchestration point, but i believe with the current score you can feel and understand its musical content. It is purpose is to convey the awe, the majesty , the grandeur, and the influence of the ancient deities of ancient Greece. The mighty gods, untouchable by humans, they are able to influence all aspects in the life of the people. Its dark at times, epic and very melodic. The divine realm, ruling the cosmos, both with good and evil intensions, but never within reach of the mere mortals.

Thank you for your reply Kvothe. I am currently taking courses in music harmony and classical piano. So in the coming years, counterpoint will also come up as a field of study. I am aware of the books, however i am trying firstly to develop my skills gradually. I also own the Study Of Orchestration by Samuel Adler, which i hope to read and undestand some time in the future. Thank you JP S. i watched the video and found it helpful. I will try to apply it to my compositiion as well as other that i create. I am currently taking courses in music Harmony and classical piano. And yes, i tend to put a lot of ideas in my composition so that is something i should also look into in the future in order not to overpopulate the songs and learn how to develop each idea fully. Hi everyone, This is my latest piano composition, dance of the moonlit clouds. I believe it has influences like classical and more modern piano music. I could describe this track as: A night scene with the clouds dancing under the moonlight, carried away by the wind...enjoy! Thank you for your input @PeterthePapercomPoser. It is a long composition indeed. The intro song was written years before the whole composition. Firstly i had arrange it all for piano. I used ewql symphonic choirs vst for the singing choirs part, with which you can achieve quite realistic results. Some parts of the composition come from years ago, while others were composed more recently. From an orchestrating perspective i follow my intuition, as i have taken some music lessons in harmony, but not yet on composition / orchestration, so i guess there would appear some issues like the ones you mention with the high pitch of the choirs.

Hi everyone, 😊 I recently completed composing, a rather large symphonic piece, called Quest For The Holy Grail. It is about 28:00 minutes in duration. The theme of the symphony is Parcifal and his quest for the holy grail. The first part deals with the inner perspective of Parcifal, how he has to turn to his own self to fight his demons and his weaknesses as he embarks on his journey. From a spiritual perspective in order to enact his quest for the grail in the outer world, he needs to reach for the light from within to become pure and brave again and be worthy to find the actual chalise. The second part is about his journey to the outer world, where he finds the kingdom to be in decadence and it's citizens are now furious, with hearts filled with despair and hatred. So he journeys through the kingdom, in order to locate the chalise, to bring him back to Arthur and cure him. The composition consists of several music pieces, which are: Part 1: Inner Journey Song 1: Parzifal's Nightmare Parzifal, the noble knight, falls into a deep slumber haunted by nightmares of his impending quest. In his dreams, he sees visions of King Arthur and the impending dissolution of the once mighty Knights of the Round Table. Song 2: Remembering Companionship Amidst the turmoil of his nightmares, Parzifal begins to remember the bonds of camaraderie and fellowship he shared with his fellow knights. Memories of past adventures and the strength of their unity flood his mind. Song 3: Despair of the Knights As Parzifal delves deeper into his dreams, he witnesses the slow decay of the bonds between the knights. Agony and tension grip their hearts as they struggle to restore balance to the kingdom amidst growing despair. Song 4: Wigs of Betrayal The betrayal of Arthur by Sir Lancelot and Guinevere unfolds, shattering the once unbreakable bond of loyalty. The heart of Arthur, and those of the other knights, is pierced with despair as secrets are unveiled. Song 5: Bursting With Fury Parzifal's dreams turn to fury as he grapples with the betrayal and the realization that his quest for the Holy Grail will require him to transcend mortal limitations. Anger fuels his determination to become the chosen one who will save the kingdom. Song 6: Memento Mori In a moment of introspection, Parzifal confronts his mortality and the limitations of his own being. Death looms both within and without, urging him to find the courage and honesty needed to awaken his spirit and pursue the elusive Holy Grail. Song 7: Back To the Land Of The Living Parcifal is now coming back from his journey to the realm of Death and his awakening to the living kindom is a harsh and painfull one. Through trials and tribulations, he seeks the chalice from within, following the path illuminated by his awakened spirit. Song 11: Kingdom of Decadence Confronted by the malevolent forces of Mordred and Morgana, Parzifal battles to overcome their dark enchantments and stay true to his quest. With newfound awakening, he locates the path to the chalice amidst the decaying kingdom. Song 11: Empty Halls of Camelot Returning triumphant from his journey, Parzifal presents the Holy Grail to King Arthur, who drinks from it and is rejuvenated.
