  1. While complexity doesn't guarantee quality, I think musical value often comes down to how engaging and coherent the music is. John Williams, for example, combines complexity with accessibility, making his work widely appreciated. Music that is well-crafted and expressive will generally stand the test of time, regardless of its style or complexity. Preferences between composers like Mozart and Schoenberg can be quite subjective, but the key is how well the music resonates with its listeners.
  2. I agree, Bach is not very known for his vocal works.
  3. Wonderful as usual Henry! Thank you for sharing your work.
  4. Absolutely, it sounds like a smart investment in your growth as a composer! Working with musicians directly can provide invaluable insights and feedback that can really elevate your work.
  5. I agree, sometimes music flows more from the heart than from a strict structure. Beethoven's Violin Concerto and the 2nd movement of the 7th Symphony are fantastic choices—so rich and thematic.
  6. Great work on the scherzo! I’m excited to hear how it complements the first movement. I’ll give it a listen and let you know my thoughts. Thanks for sharing!
  7. Good luck with finding musicians and the recording studio!
  8. I love that suspenseful intro.
  9. That sounds amazing! It's incredible how creativity can flow during those sleepless nights.

  12. That was a bold choice on your part, I must say that I really enjoyed the short time I listened to your work.
  13. It's good to hear that you're exploring more music outside you're comfort zone.
  14. That sounds like a beautiful idea.
  15. I'm happy to share the thought as you sir.
