  8. What is a curranda anyway? I know it came from the French courante but what are its characteristics? What makes it Catalonian?
  9. What do I name this piece? Is it a polka? The title says nocturne in ab major but that was a previous piece and for some reason it is showing up on the title but what do I name this? I haven’t finished it yet
  10. I just meant the part of the forth movement of my sonata that is a fugue sorry for the confusion

  13. I have been hearing about styles such as the style and characteristics that Beethoven or Mozart or Schubert had that was unique to them. I have been thinking about developing my own in my compositions. I want to write in a sort of Schubertian style with mixing romantic and classical/mozart style like he did. But I also don’t want to sound like I am trying to mimic him. What do I do?
  14. I am a mozart fan and I want to write a sonata in his style any tips? thanks
