  1. replying to @Jqh73o First and foremost thanks for listening and commenting on it. As always, it's a pleasure to share new music with everyone. As for the post, I do apologize as I should have been a little bit more coherent when it came to what exactly I was doing within this musical process. Let's start off with the title. It's called Soundscape and then the day I composed it. It's an ambiguous title because these soundscapes can trigger a memory or have the listener experience something totally different from one another. There's no point in trying to gravitate with one idea for a title when so many other ideas exist. That painting that you sent me is a clear example. I never seen the work before and the way you explained how the painting connects with what you heard, I can understand and see where you're coming from. You might have noticed that the scoring doesn't have any tempo markings or meters (mixed meters or normal bars). All of this is intentional; or nontraditional writing. I'm aware that there are proper rules to follow, but I did it this way because everything that I'm playing is free-formed. Freeform being free from tempo and free from structured bars. Everything drawn out is everything that's being played back. The writing on the left side are the presets to use if I wanted to play this piece again. For example, LVX2 means to set the LVX (a modulated delay guitar pedal by meris) to the #2 preset. And yes, the video is of me playing trumpet through all of these guitar pedals. They give off a style and sound that is just so otherworldly. Inspired by so many ambient style guitar players, I went ahead and joined the crew but on electric trumpet since I cannot play guitar. The way that this piece is played is by looping a bunch of different parts to create a sound wall. In this piece, 4 different parts are being looped. LVX2 is a delay preset for the dry trumpet sound, OC5 is taking the trumpet signal and transposing it down 2 octaves that way it sounds like a bass part, LVX=82 is harmonizing what I'm playing up a perfect 5th and down a perfect 5th in the key of e-flat minor, and finally LVX54 is a granular preset with cascading delay lines. Each part is its own unique phrase. One phrase may be longer than another, etc. These phrases will all play and repeat indefinitely and at different places every single time. It's almost self-generative. Since I didn't take the time to draw out a legible staff, I used a personal/quicker approach. The vertical line that connects 3 of the notebook papered lines, those 3 lines are the E, B, and F note lines (from bottom to top). Did not mean for this to be so long but all in all, thank you for sending me the artwork and response. Cheers & looking forward to hearing new works, -Prisms Soundscapes
