  1. This is the first movement of a piano quintet I'm working on.
  2. I think it's a great idea! I have the same idea for the film "Alien". I never thought anyone would take the idea seriously, until I saw that Moravec did "The Shining" and Howard Shore did "The Fly" - so why not "Alien"? Twelve Angry Men certainly delves into human relationships in a way that is amenable to operatic interpretation. But you and I have the same problem - would it ever get performed? Along with gmm above, I really liked the rhythmic section that (I guess?) represents the train. It reminds me of Schubert's "Gretchen am Spinnrade" in representing dynamic motion through music.
